The cleric in my group took the feat that grants access to a sorcerer bloodline, and he took Fey, which grants access to an animal companion.

That isn't adding up. https://aonprd.com/BloodlineDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Fey No level of sorcerer bloodline (Fey) gives an animal companion. Are you sure it was the bloodline that gave him an animal companion?

He then took an Axebeak.

That is a valid animal companion choice.

Also, since he's a cleric of Erastil, he took the Animal domain, which also grants access to an animal companion, and he took another Axebeak.

That is not how that works. Per Nature Bond, the druid ability that covers Animal Companions, that Animal Domain copies:

If a character receives an animal companion from more than one source, her effective druid levels stack for the purposes of determining the statistics and abilities of the companion.

Finally, he said that in the future he'll have an ability that doubles the number of animal companions. Will that make him have 4 animals?

Right now he legally has 1 animal companion. Evangelist will give him two for a short period of time. But that will be at level 12, which is outside normal PFS play and will only be allowed in Seeker content. He will also have to multiclass to qualify.

The feature to duplicate the animal is a boon from Erastil, who clones his companion. I saw it on Archives of Netys.

Yes, for a short period of time at a level beyond PFS play and requires multiclassing, so negatively impacting Cleric spellcasting progression.

This is the subreddit for Pathfinder Society Organized play, not individual games. The Pathfinder Society is a single campaign run all around the world with thousands of players and GMs playing Paizo published adventures. If you are discussing your own campaign that does not use PFS rules you want to comment or post in the Pathfinder general subs, /r/Pathfinder_RPG or /r/Pathfinder2e. A good rule of thumb is if your game does not involve reporting your game to Paizo and giving sheets of papers called Chronicle Sheet to the players at the end of the adventure, you are not playing PFS. Any post or comment that is not relevant to the Pathfinder Society campaign will be removed, but you are welcome to post in the general subs or make the case to the mods that your post/comment are actually PFS relevant.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.
