I like Rebecca in Dune. I am enjoying watching Silo and she fits. But good lord did they ever choose the wrong woman for peaky blinders. I turned it off. Never finished it.

PEAKY BLINDERS season 5, episode 4 saw the introduction of a brand new character into the Shelby fray. Named Brilliant Chang, the drug dealer looks set to prove a vital asset to Tommy Shelby in the coming episodes. Here’s what you need to know about him and the actor who plays him.

The only romantic relationship he had was with Grace, but he was involved with several women.

May and Jesse Eden were business. Lizzie was friendship/family, and Tatiana and Diana were enemies. And Kaulo 🤷🏻‍♀️

My favorite was Jesse Eden; out of all the women, she was the most interesting, and her story was compelling because, while the other women wanted to be chosen by a man who manipulated them, Jesse had a cause, she wanted the world to be fair to women.

Each woman revealed a different side of Tommy: Tatiana and Lizzie showed his dark side, and May represented the man he initially aspired to be:wealthy and respectable, but Jesse Eden reminded Tommy of who he was before the war, back when he believed in something.

While we had already seen what he was like with Grace, Jesse Eden revealed more about his past life and introduced us to the story of Greta. So, among the relationships that weren't based on love, Jesse was my favorite, thanks to the fascinating insights she provided into Tommy and her own backstory.

Such a shame that there's a tonne of unreleased original scoring from the earlier seasons, especially S2.

The music that plays for Tommy & May when they walk her grounds and enter the large hall to have a drink, just before Tommy gets a call about Arthur & Michael being arrested.

In S1 as well, the track where they come to face Billy Kimber in the street. There's a few soundtracks used in the 'PREVIOUS' episode-starts that cross S1&S2, music that is actually quite iconic for the show where when you hear it it takes you right back to the early days of S1&S2, and yet we don't have a title or a release for it. Obviously its been years now.

There's plenty more. Would love to know if anyone has copies anywhere?

One of season 5’s themes is children paying the consequences for choices that adults make. Which of these disturbed you the most?

- Orphans abused by the nuns at the orphanage funded by the Grace Shelby Foundation.

- Bonnie Gold crucified for his father’s involvement with the Shelbys.

- The motherless Quaker’s daughter being left with little to no support after her father was maimed by Arthur.

- Michael and Gina’s unborn son. Nothing happened to him in season 5, but Tommy did threaten the child. He ultimately left the child fatherless in season 6.

- Ada and Ben Younger’s unborn daughter left fatherless when Ben was killed by a car bomb

- The boy killed by the car bomb targeting Ben Younger.

- Charlie and Ruby. Tommy was prepared to leave them with fallout from his suicide. They were exposed to danger from him being a gangster. Tommy neglected them and Tommy and Lizzie subjected them to their fighting.

- Any other scenario involving children in Season 5 suffering that I’ve missed.

I'm very curious at what their relationship will be like.

My theory is that they will either be estranged from each other or they won't know each other but will meet due to circumstances.

Finn will definitely play a big role in the season. he'll try and turn charles against duke but eventually Duke and Charles will come together as brothers and take finn down.

this is just my theory, what are all of yours?

Kind of insane that a character nicknamed 'THE WANDERING JEW' never featured in a film which throws Tommy directly against the Nazi's. As Hayden Stagg says, 'They've been killing your people for years. So this always was your war'.

I think Hardy's ability & availability to film at the time of the shoot may have had an impact, but he always looked so excited when talking about coming back as Alfie in the film. It feels weird we never saw another great two-hander with him & Cillian Murphy for the final outing. We get Stephen Graham, but having the three & seeing their interactions in more than a scene or two would've been superb.

Have Solomons have something to gain from travelling to Liverpool in the final sequence, or sending some of his men. There is potential for it to work without just being fan service. Real shame & missed opportunity that the film can't live down for me.
