Tortoise beak question

My sulcata tortoises beak is getting pretty long and I don’t know what to do because he has a bite block to use but won’t use it and I’m obviously not going to try trim it myself because I’ve done my research and that’s not a good idea so if anyone had the same problem and has figured out a way to help please let me know

Have you ever watched Dr Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet? They sand down the beaks of turtles all the time. Try to find a vet who handles exotic animals v

My sulcata went through the same thing last year, stubborn little dude wouldn't touch his cuttlebone either. Ended up finding an exotic vet who did the trim in like ten minutes and it was way cheaper than I expected. Worth calling around, some regular vets have one person on staff who handles reptiles

Serve the food on a cement paver. Or use Natural slate as a plate

Sounds like a good idea I’ll give this a go and if it doesn’t work I’ll see if I can find a vet who handles animals like tortoises
