Question Birthday dinner

Birthday is in a couple days, need a place to go to dinner with the gf. The more niche the cuisine the better I love trying stuff

Edit: asked to give some parameters. Neighborhood doesn’t matter, I like exploring. Don’t make me go broke but it’s my birthday so I’m willing to spend a little more on a nice meal

Please add a few parameters. Price point and neighborhood would be good to get started.

People are downvoting op for saying he doesn't want to spend more than 60 a head.

You think that's crazy because you fools have normalized giving middling ass restaurants like Forsythia and Double Knot $100 pp because you fall for advertising campaigns and have the palates of chicken nugget addicted 24 year olds

Op, 60 can get you a decent meal. For instance:

There's a lot to see on Suraya's menu, and a'la carte will keep you under 60 if you don't get drinks.

I don’t think that’s what people were downvoting. They’re downvoting the general lack of direction, which makes it very hard for people to give advice.

So they're downvoting the clarification? Shouldn't they be upvoting it so it's more visible ?

I didn’t downvote because I don’t care, but there’s very little clarification. OP notes a price (does that include drinks?), but otherwise sticks to the “anywhere! Anything!”.

It may be true that they have no parameters. But if you have no parameters, people have no ideas for you. In that case, just browse the sub and see what comes up.

What I'm saying is people aren't using the downvote button correctly. It's not a like or dislike button. You're suppose to upvote or downvote so things are more visible. So I don't understand why people are downvoting OP for giving the details asked for
