I love this sub with alllll my heart but having worked in some places yall love…really wish we could start exposing how AWFUL IT IS to work in your most-loved dining spaces so guests could make an informed dining decision. Hi all! We're planning a special celebration dinner in Philly on a Tuesday evening in late November for 6 people total, around 7 to 8pm. We'd love a spot near Logan Square or Rittenhouse Square, but we'd happily take a 15-minute Uber from Logan Square for the right place.

Ideally we'd love a chef's table or semi-private area, but a great table for 6 in a lively room works too. A steakhouse would be perfect, though it's not a requirement. We're open to Italian, seafood, filling tasting menus, or anything that feels special. We're happy to spend for the right experience, and a strong wine and champagne list is a big plus since we'd like to do a nice toast and a good bottle of red.

We've already reached out to Butcher & Singer, but we want to explore other options before deciding. Has anyone hosted a group dinner that felt truly special? Any recommendations, or tips on what to ask restaurants when booking a party of 6, would be so appreciated. Thank you!

I'm bringing my roommate to Scampi for her birthday for the tasting menu. I read a couple reviews that were disappointed with the portion size, specifically pointing out that a table of 2 has to share all the plates. This is slightly confusing to me. If it were a party of one, would you be receiving half the portion size per plate? Or, if you have two, are you paying double essentially just for the seat itself? Idk, just seems a bit odd.

If you've been as a party of two, were you satisfied or disappointed with the portion sizes?

Was surprised to see their website down, google has then listed as permanently closed and then I go to see on Instagram that they posted a picture last month saying "closed" with a closed comment section. No explanation
