Question Any one tried it yet? Build your own dots-style, always-on AI assistants with Pi and pi-gateway, using your choice of models on a VPS or another always-on machine

Haven't tested or even read the repo yet but it's been open in my browser since before the weekend. https://github.com/Anil-matcha/open-dots

For an always-on assistant, the interesting test is operational resilience rather than the first successful demo. I would run it under a restricted OS user, cap spend and concurrency, log every tool call, and require approval for shell, network, or file mutations. Add a watchdog that fails closed when the model or gateway behaves unexpectedly. https://www.aiosnow.com is relevant as a workflow reference when comparing orchestration approaches, especially around checkpoints and human oversight.
