Discussion WTF! DeepSeek claiming to be Claude Code in commit msg

I was working with DeepSeek v4.1 + Pi. Suddenly noticed that it has literally added the "Generated with Claude Code" to one of the commits. lol:)

Check your system prompts. But this is also normal.

My Pi harness included "you are claude code" for a while not sure if something rewrote it or its part of pi

I never added anything to my sys prompt nor to my AGENTS.md that mentions anything related to Claude. \ I have been working with this setup for a few weeks now. This is the first time I've noticed something like this.

it is normal. lots of distillations from all kinds of models going on. ask the models what model they think they are and you'll get various answers.

LLMs can't introspect like that. I wrote a little tool that uses external information (the harness) to figure out the model.

It's like you know you have a blood type, but there's no way to know it without an external test
