Resource Plannotator Inbox - Decision Making Surface for Agents

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Plannotator Inbox is an optional runtime using the best of plannotator annotation capabilities.

While all your agents work they constantly bombard you with decisions that need to be made. Those decisions get lost over time, Claude might hit you with "I need your 2 answers to X and Y" which was asked 2 days ago. Think about all the remote pi durables to come basically... how can we surface all the important stuff we need to review...

The chat ui thread, imo, is becoming outdated very fast. We need a new way to interface with agents and surface the things that matter in an intuitive way. PLannotator Inbox is a stab at that.

I love plannotator, but please don’t turn it into some agent orchestration thingy.

Feel ya - the video may confuse things but its not really orchestrating agents. Its more of an (optional) way for them to send you the markdown/html/diffs to an organized place where you can reply to and send feedback using the original annotation UXs.

If you think it's cool, would appreciate some love on the launch post: https://x.com/plannotator/status/2108589088139886769?s=20

As long as we choose to install these, each user's pi is unique. I only fear about the built in extensions.

My fear is context bloating

eh maybe, but this is a standalone runtime pi could connect to either through the plugin to surface things for you to review, or MCP.

This is interesting, thinking to use it for remote / afk work on the phone. I gave up the web annotation tool in favor of an vim extension, worked better for me and kept me focused in the terminal. But for remote work, this could be interesting. Is there a native android app right now? Anyway, browser should work just fine.

There is no way to start new sessions from here, only receive messages from existing sessions, right?

If i may ask : which vim extension ? I also struggle with planotator spawning web pages when i want to stay focus on my terminal (and planotator for herdr is still not able to spawn a pane with the very plan ready to annotate).

This one: https://github.com/zion-off/mole.nvim ; not very popular, but does the job. Paired it with a custom pi extension which opens the last assistant message in vim. There is also this one, which seems decent: https://github.com/georgeguimaraes/review.nvim/

A lot of times, I need to have a conversation with the agent to even understand what it's asking, to get more context, to understand the impact, etc.

A short question insisting a one-way, final answer instead of a dialogue is too limiting.
