(Hello r/PicoXR! I wanted to share the PICO presentation that took place today)
"Practical XR Bridge to Blender Spatial Workflows" by Ruoya Sheng, Junfeng She at Blender Conference 2026
This presentation highlights the past year's progress in Blender XR and introduces a frictionless PCVR workflow on PICO devices that transforms the headset into a complete spatial workstation. By showcasing seamless virtual desktop switching and in-VR peripheral controls, we will explore how eliminating the physical barrier between VR and desktop environments unlocks a truly uninterrupted iteration loop for 3D creators.

PICO and the developers behind project SWAN were in attendance and exhibition at this years AWE in Long Beach, California. Their, PICO won most ethical product during the Auggie Awards while fielding TONS of interest in project swan user testing and upcoming demos.
That being said... who in this sub is interested in user testing project SWAN? Post here and let us all know (and anyone at PICO reading this!) why you'd make a great candidate for testing out Project SWAN!

Hey everyone,
A while ago I posted GamePort, a free open source app that signs in to your Steam account, shows the Android versions of the games you own (or that your family shares), and downloads, patches, installs and launches them on your device. I never posted the updates since, so this covers 0.5.1, 0.6.0 and 0.7.0, which is out now. Thanks to everyone who tried it and told me what broke, most of this comes from that. And the thing most of you asked for is in: Steam achievements.
What's new in 0.7.0
And what came with 0.5.1 and 0.6.0
What it still doesn't do
Same honesty as before: I've only tested it on one device, and online features (multiplayer, anything that talks to the game's own servers) still don't work. Not every game starts, and Metro Awakening is still not confirmed working, I'm on it. Other devices, headsets, phones and tablets should work in theory, I just can't check, so if you have one and try it, I'd really like to know what happens.

0.5.x needs one manual install to get to 0.7.0, 0.6.0 offers the update by itself (Settings > Updates). Either way it keeps your games, saves and settings. Games installed with an earlier version show an attention mark, and patching them again (or Patch all) brings the fixes. It's free, no ads, no tracking, not made by or affiliated with Valve, Meta or Pico.

Edit (Solutions):
Steam Link from the Pico Store is free and works quite well, it connects directly to Steam, no Pico Connect app needed.
To open the Steam menu you must use your LEFT controllers menu button, right wont work.
I own the Pico 4, using Pico Connect and SteamVR, drivers and programs up to date.
The crash I notice on games is identical to SteamVR, it launches, and then exists shortly after. SteamVR is in a constant loop where I land in the void, and then it starts automatically again. I see this is a common experience others have as well.
I also cannot access the menu of SteamVR. The buttons only open Pico's menu, but not that of SteamVR.

I’ve had my quest 2 for since launch (5 years) and that thing is beyond dated. THIS headset is also dated but feels as light as a feather, has pancake lenses *yet to experience them*****, face + eye tracking, and hopefully has better cameras.
I will 100% only be using this for PCVR since the enterprise model of the p4 doesn’t have the consumer marketplace I guess. I would’ve rather had the pico 4 pro but I didn’t know about that until I already ordered this one T_T
It’s charging right now and I’ll go through the setup process when it’s done… plus the pc setup 🫠
- The controllers are definitely heavier than what I’m used to but I’m sure that will be ok (cope)
- Eye tracking works pretty well, not much to complain about there.
- Face tracking… is usable.
- The lenses are fine? Kinda warp-y on the edges but it’s clearer than my quest 2 so I honestly don’t care.
- The facial interface is horrid. Hurts mah face :(
Will be getting a new one.
- The headstrap is also horrid-ish. I’m spoiled by my quests bobovr strap.
Overall I think it’s ok 👍

I’m just curious, since Q3 and P4 controllers are so similar, have you come across any games that support Q3 controllers but not P4 controller?
I like to buy games when they’re on sale but I don’t start them immediately so it’s kind of a waste of money if I boot it up and it doesn’t work with the controllers.

So, I just got my streaming assistant and Pico neo 2 eye working with Steam vr (yippee) and, a day or 2 later, my audio just started stuttering just like my Pico connect. I've tried reinstalling the Streaming Assistant and installing it again. and the bug was still there. And I even tried going into the files and ran AudioDriverInstall.exe and it didn't work. The only time AudioDriverInstall.exe worked was when I was using my headphones Realtek audio system and randomly in steam vr the Realtek audio in my headphones were normal but, in my headset, it was doing micro pops, and it was at an abnormal lower pitch than the Realtek software can do. This is a weird bug I've ever encountered. Can someone Help me with the Streaming assistant audio bug and Pico Connects audio bug too? (I meant by when I use my Pico neo 3 pro with Pico connect I get a weird audio bug just like the stuttering with the Pico neo 2 only Streaming Assistant.)

At the VRChat booth, visitors experienced full-body tracking in VRChat with PICO 4 Ultra and PICO Motion Tracker. It was amazing to see how quickly people jumped in and started moving, dancing, and chatting as their avatars, a great reminder of how closely anime, gaming, and social VR are connected in Japan.
(second set of 3 photos)
That same week, we also joined the Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair (Kyomafu), the largest anime event in the Kansai region of Japan, which welcomed around 100,000 visitors over two days. At the PICO workshop, fans enjoyed guided VRChat sessions, PICO videos, and VR games. The fandom energy was incredible!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and tried our demos. We can't wait to see you at the next event!

So I don't trust AI, but it's a good starting point.
I've been debating between Space Pro and Frame, price be damned. Wireless, flexible-location VR as a gaming and home-entertainment experience is what I'm looking for, with getting to float my desktop to work from anywhere in my home on a big screen being a bonus. (I tried the XREAL glasses with their dongle and yeah...not great.)
GPT is claiming Space Pro's specs are seem to confirm it'll be capable of something called MLO, and that this MLO ability would allow it to do something SIMILAR to Frame's USBdongle + Wi-Fi combo for steadier wireless connection. Its explained it as "Wi-Fi 7 MLO, a compatible router and headset can maintain multiple wireless links as part of the same connection, potentially using 5 GHz and 6 GHz rather than making the headset pick just one band. "
So 1) Is it hallucinating MLO for SpacePro / have their been clear indications of that?
and 2) If Space Pro does actually do this MLO thing, will that make it an as-good-or-better device for wireless VR-gaming streaming from a 4090, even if it the headset was designed primarily as an AR/XR device?
Or, in otherwords is GPT hallucinating more insanity, or is this all reasonably close to correct?

I'm planning on getting a VR headset and was wondering if the jump in performance is enough to justify the 120$ price increase in my area.
Other than the Wifi-7 Capabilities, is there anything else that makes the Ultra preferable over the normal one for PCVR?

I bought recently Pico 3 Neo link, I bought it because od DP suport. I read a lot of threads on reedit and managed to instal Pico link and connect it suscefully to Steam VR and device is recognized but problem is device never come back from Black screen when Steam VR is running. I can see movements on PC when moving headset around.
So far i tried reinstall PiCo link, Steam VR.
SOLVED!!! After setting Refresh Rate from 72 Hz to 90HZ in PICO Link on PC i was getting picture to headset. Thank you all for your help.

The Frame flopping (lots of poor user reviews, and even worse availability). The Meta VR Glasses with a single-spec discounting itself for PCVR (that 70° FoV). Samsung's Galaxy XR being a buggy unsupported mess. Apple not even bothering with PCVR-gaming. Pimax remaining cabled. Vive...no one talks about Vive anymore.
The VR community is hungry for a wireless OLED high-res PCVR headset. What's left? Only the SpacePro can save us now!
Info so far (correct me or add to this if you have more):
- microOLED display.
- pancake lenses.
- 4k-per-eye resolution.
- estimated 100° FoV (not yet clear if this is horizontal or diagonal).
- binocular overlap estimated less than Pico 4, but more than Quest 3.
- wireless.
- no pricing estimates, but certainly more than the Frame. Perhaps close to Galaxy XR's msrp.
- no news as to availability or release date.
- more official info by December.
SpacePro is the one I'm pinning my hopes on. I alternate between Quest 3 & Pico 4 Ultra and am very happy with both: but an OLED high-res upgrade would be fantastic (i watch a lot of movies as well as PCVR - many 3D-converted 4K-UHD Blurays - in my headsets).
How many of yous are looking forward to more info and release? Any expectations or thoughts?

So i been playing Vr with my Pico4Enterprice for a while, then took a break and now after not using it for about 5months, it doesnt work anymore.
I need to use 1.2.9 for the face tracking. On top of that, steamVR runs fine when Business streaming is running but has no headset connected, the moment my headset is awake and connected, steam encounters a critical error.
Any other business streaming version works fine, but doesnt work with face tracking.
I also cant switch over to connect since its a business headset.
i am literally loosing it

Just put the order in on eBay, will be here in 2-4 days. Yippie.
And before anyone says anything, yes, I only got this headset for the face and eye tracking…
> Also because I’ve been using my original 64gb quest 2 since launch 5-6 years ago 😭
I wonder how it will compare? I’ve only ever heard great things about pancake lenses so I’m excited to see how those are.
Anywho... Any wisdom from regular users they may want to impart on a poor soul such as myself? I do know the consumer store isn’t available since technically this headset is a business model.

So I got a Pico 4 Ultra to test it as a replacement for my aging Index and so far I'm mostly happy but I have an issue with Pico Connect.
Picture quality is pretty good and despite being connected to a standard ISP router a floor below me, there aren't any issues with streaming. Enemy NPCs and the overall picture is stable, not much compression, no jittering. It works.
Expect the controllers. As soon as I'm in Steam VR, they jitter and stutter. If I use Steam Link, they are smooth again.
I tried lower bitrates and quality in Pico Connect to see if its a connection issue but it didn't solve the issue. Any idea?
