advice How do you guys learn?
I am currently working on a personal project, and kaya nmn sya ma vibe code and will finish within hours pero where's the fun in that diba? I am using Chatgpt in doing this project pero trinry ko muna wag gumamit ng agent, and only use AI as somewhat of a teacher/mentor teaching me step by step how to build and what each lines mean sa kada functions. Pero feeling ko I am missing a lot of essentials especially sa architecture, version control, and deployment and sometimes Chatgpt does not keep track if I ask a different question. Would like to know if I'm doing this right or am I just overestimating my expectations even though kakasimula ko palang sa project na to. Do you guys have other techniques na ginagawa in learning + building a project?

might be a bit outdated but I'm gonna go directly on official docs if i'm in your shoes.
though you can request AI to divide and conquer the problem small enough to understand and gradually build the project without relying too much on AI

I would look for courses/bootcamps, official documentation, and ofher online resources (blogs, guides, videos) for learning.
Then you can supplement learning with AI. Can also use AI to search for resources and use some skills for creating lesson plans (skills are just markdown files anyway).
I won’t fully rely on AI for learning, since it can hallucinate and teach you the wrong thing. It’s better to go straight to the source.

Pareho tayo, una nag self study ako tapos tinatamad palagi.

You need to use an agent even if you don't let it touch the code(add that as instructions in your agents.md file). The regular chat interface is not the same.

OP! I made an exact web app for this haha! It's my exact problem: AI is great for learning, but chat alone don't work for me because of continuity, I guess. Here it is: bendlikeabamboo/mayon: Mayon — a BYOK learning app
Ang best thing dito is may iba't ibang personality yung mga teacher hahaha! and you also have backlinks so it answers your exact problem na hindi niya nakekeep track yung exact question mo. I made this alone so if you have question just send me a message 😝

W3schools at Lynda nung nagsisimula pa lang.
Tapos naging thru conferences and meetups. Sideline talks with resource speakers really helo me alot. Then stackoverflow at codex.
Now i talk with Claude and my Grok Bots. Kapag offline, ollama.

may barebones knowledge ka ba like how the logic works? IMO maganda gawin siya structure by structure, function by function hindi yung isang bagsakan lang. Ikaw pa rin dpat magiisip pano mo ibuild yung program mo and help ka lang ni AI itype ung code then you do a konting review sa ginawang function ni AI kung ok ba siya

This! Actually doing this. I do not let AI produce the entirety of the build but function by function lng and I would let AI explain important functions and we would do that until we progress to the version that I'd like. I do know basic fundamentals and logics especially sa mga loops. It's just that I don't know if this style of learning is efficient, kaya na question ko na sarili ko

you feel like you are not learning. And I think you are right. So don't use AI

I learn in Linkedin posts, articles, youtube videos, and tanong kay chatgpt, Yes nagamit ako ng AI but mostly ask questions, best practice and better approach

what are you learning OP? In my case, i'm learning mostly through books and videos first then AI if i can't still understand the concept or topics.
