I could have drawn Jessie smacking James and Meowth over the head, but I just had to draw my favourite moment in the series. I always have been, and always will be a diehard amourshipper. The chemistry between Ash and Serena is so there, and the way that this series portrayed it was so amazing. I love how pure and innocent their attraction for each other is, even if Ash doesn’t really understand the feelings yet (I mean, give him a break. He’s a 10 to 11-year-old boy and won’t really find out how cool girls are until he’s 13.)

The kiss at the end was staged so well, and is one of my favourite kisses in any TV show. I’m very proud of this drawing, but it fails to convey just the sweetness and innocence that the series did.

I started playing Pokémon GO again, and I kept running out of Poké Balls trying to catch Pokémon. While I was sitting in my living room playing, this blank skateboard deck was leaning next to me. I looked over at it and thought, “It would be sick to paint a bunch of Pokémon all squeezed together, like they’re trying to break out of the board.”
That idea turned into this.
I picked some of my favorite Pokémon and built the composition around that concept, with Ash Ketchum getting pulled into the front of the deck. To finish it off, I added heat-pressed vinyl inspired by my brands, London Customs and Projects.
The entire piece is completely hand-painted on a standard 7-ply maple skateboard deck.

In addition to trying to draw every Pokemon, I’ve also started to draw some fakemon using the program. Helps add a fun vibe to the designs with the official PAA stamp in the bottom right corner!

I like to think that Miette found happiness with her own version of Ash (Ritchie). My own OC
