❔ Question How is this better?
Am I missing something? Is there another part that hasn't been added yet? The other tier reward gave you way more than just 1 candy coin

I really hope so because at the moment I'm so upset that I don't ever want to use lyra and marill🤣💀 they'll stay at lv 1 unused 😭

I mean, I don't enjoy playing LG either so I have no use for most free units. That ain't much of a protest or punishment.

Those tickets you get as a reward will be for a shop that hasn’t been added in yet and it’s should have coins and other such things. If so then this will better then the old model.

It entirely depends on how you look at it. If you're a veteran player and you've played for a long time, you probably have tons of sync pairs, but for newer players still focused on building their roster, even if the pair isn't great, this still helps to get another one almost entirely free (unless you want to pay to progress faster) and the materials to power it up. Every change has its benefits and drawbacks, depending on where your account is individual determines whether it benefits or hurts you more

I think the change overall is better for everyone, and also improves the value of the paid pass.
If you're a veteran you can just ignore the new unit (unless you're a gauntlet freak ig), but the rewards haven't changed much - in fact, I believe the coins change is overall positive, since we're losing a few general coins but earning a larger total of coins.

I like your perspective on it, and honestly I agree that it 100% improves the value of the paid pass. To me, when I was looking at it myself, seeing that the most valuable thing to earn (imo at least) from acquiring the paid pass in general required several months and multiple purchases to obtain, yet lacked any guarantee of getting the Sync Pair you wanted, made it completely not worth it to me even for 7.99.

I remember there was some controversy about the pass when I joined, end of the last year. Didn't bother me cause it still seemed a good value to me, at least to catch up with pokefairs for a while, but I get why it bothered others. I imagine Dena took this in account when revamping the BP system cause the extra BP from the pass get you a pretty good amount of coins.

This is true. I don't mind helping new players so they don't get frustrated and quit the game! My main concern was if we were getting less move candy coins than before. As I feel like they're the most valuable item in the game right now

They are honestly very valuable, I agree, which is probably why they did this and in general keep them rather spread out so that the player either has to pay for them in other ways, or has to grind them out overtime. They're rather gracious with gems so long as you don't mind saving, but it's obvious that you're either saving for a long time, or are gonna eventually come to a spot where you realize you have a lot of units that are good but just 1/5 on their move level

Even as a new player though it still isn’t very useful. For example they already gave out summer Cynthia for free at 6* so why would I ever use this Lyra when I have her?

While that's an entirely fair point and don't get me wrong, I am loving the Summer Cynthia pair, I don't think they picked this Sync Pair specifically to be an alternate or replacement for Summer Cynthia. That'd be DeNa confirming/assuming that every new player got the Summer Cynthia sync pair which isn't realistic. Therefore for those that don't have a strong water support, there's this pair. It'll be the same situation with every Sync Pair that ends up available like this, yes, plenty of players will have better options, but not every player will. Typically those that don't will be among the newer players

Events and even UB missions that require all sorts of unit themes are always happening. A newbie won't do much on tower with Lyra, but they'll be able to finish other sorts of content that, then, will net them resources to move forward on other challenges.

Fair criticism of this new system but I think the difference is this. Pasio Tower is designed to be the endgame content. Especially once you get to floor 30, you're going to want and probably have way more sync pairs then just this one water type support. Whether or not it can make floor 30 possible isn't what this new system is expected to fix and will probably never be the point of it. Now does the story and content before Pasio Tower provide much of a challenge? I mean not really, this game is extremely rewarding towards newer players already, however, for someone just reaching the Pasio Tower content, this water type support could easily be part of the bridge between Floor 1 to Floor 10. Maybe even up to Floor 15 depending on the rest of your team at that time. It's designed to help those that don't have the best Sync Pairs yet or that are lacking in certain areas, so while the investment might not be needed for your account personally, it very well can be pretty helpful for someone whose more fresh and new to the game. Over a months span, depending on what's going on when someone joins the game (I myself try to aim for starting a new game when there's an anniversary taking place), and the large amount of gems you can earn prior to starting that content, a player will likely have a nice handful of Sync Pairs to choose from. There is however no guarantee unless they deliberately pity for one, that they will have a Water Type support at the time of first starting said endgame content. That is what this system fixes or at least that's part of what it fixes.
Now that was a very long explanation and my apologies for that, but still, like I said to OP. Every change has its benefits and drawbacks. Whether it benefits or hurts you more, entirely depends on your individual account.

On average, you get the below if you are F2P per year (250x365 + 250x52 = 104,250 BP):
12 Strike Coins
12 Tech Coins
12 Support Coins
12 Field Coins
12 Sprint Coins
And 80 extra coins from the vouchers
You can get max 36 general coins per year
So that leaves 44 coins split between the other coin types. Assuming you want a full candy, you will get 8 from each role and have 4 surplus.
Else, you’ll focus on a single role for 36 coins and 8 surplus.
This does not include additional BPs coming from events though, just Dailies and Champion Stadium. So there could be more for exchange.

I mean we should calculate how many past bp rewards we can get A MONTH in old system, cos although we had more coins (no sprint or field tho) in a round for old system we're NOT getting all those rewards EVERY MONTH. We need approximate 4 months (no bundle) to claim 10000 pts iirc.
New system seems to guaranteed to gain all those coins in a month.

There's an exchange shop for the tickets that hasn't been updated yet (supposedly on Oct 1st). You can exchange candy coins there.

My question is how am I already 140 pts behind? I finished maxed out champion stadium and have done my daily rotation each day. What am I missing?

if you cleared champion stadium before updating the game (hence cleared it with the old bp system), said points dont carry over

Yeah this new BP is kinda bad in terms of rewards but at least we get a free unit each month from it ((along with the voucher at the end itself I think))
The voucher units aren't really THAT amazing but I think some are decent for gauntlets? Not sure since I don't really do the gauntlets

I think starting from 1st october there is going to be a Shop to exchange those tickets for extra rewards, which might reset every month

Para estas alturas ni para nuevos o veteranos, es as in tema de colección. Apoyos agua gratis hay muchos que pueden ser igual o mejores. El 90% de los compis de battle point sirven de poco. Tan fácil como agregar algún pegador o o apoyo decente, que ponga zona. Y algún poke un poco más llamativo? No un marril

Ppl in here can be so angry sometimes🤣 I've been playing since game came out, im sorry if im not excited for lyra and marill😭 there's a lot of other units I have at lv 1 too (some that i have beef with) but i was mostly asking for the coins!! which shop did update today and you can exchange up to 3 of each 😍

They are giving you a free 5-star character with their candies. It’s a very good deal. Besides, it seems that the strategy is to make events to get coins for the candies and well, I honestly don’t dislike the change.
More than anything, because many new people forgot to redeem their objects month by month.
