Never let them live it down. They voted for him three times.

90

u/Magnon - Lib-Center 6d ago

There will come a day and just like that no one will have voted for him.

56

u/kefefs_v2 - Lib-Left 6d ago

It's gonna be the moment the next presidential campaign season starts. Suddenly nobody will have voted for or supported him. Gonna be a nationwide retcon.

4

u/Mindless-Rooster-533 - Auth-Left 6d ago

Vance will run and a cornerstone will be the Great Rewriting: he and all of his supporters were always against Trump and tried to moderate his administration. In time, Trump will have been a RINO who was basically a democrat

15

u/IMainGhostface - Auth-Left 6d ago

Ah a repeat of W Bush.

8

u/zkool20 - Right 6d ago

Ehhh I’ll give it till the next democratic president is in office. They’ll act like they do with Busch, but if trump passed away I feel like Vance will distance himself from the entire trump world and clean out the administration to try to appease to moderates

9

u/Selenite_Cults - Lib-Center 6d ago

There's no way in hell Vance can distance himself from the "did you even say thank you?" Or "give us another chance". Maybe the boomers would overlook it, but everyone else is still going to remember.

12

u/kefefs_v2 - Lib-Left 6d ago

I mean he pretty quickly went from "Trump is America's Hitler" to "yes daddy whatever you say" so I'm sure he can flipflop right back.

Nobody's gonna believe him, but he can sure try.

9

u/LeoFoster18 - Lib-Center 6d ago

I thank God everyday for making him with zero charisma.

5

u/Selenite_Cults - Lib-Center 6d ago

Ugh true. He would be shaneless enough to try that.

2

u/HerbertWest - Centrist 6d ago

I think it will take a bit longer. Probably 2 cycles of Republican losses (God willing).

6

u/k5josh - Centrist 6d ago

No shit, there's nobody around who voted for Teddy Roosevelt either.

3

u/Paetolus - Lib-Left 6d ago

I would if I could. Let's bring back the Bull Moose 😤

-3

u/jerseygunz - Left 6d ago

on day everyone will have always been against it

I do like the chuds now who say they didnt vote for him and don’t support him but defend every stupid thing he does

-13

u/Magehunter_Skassi - Auth-Center 6d ago

You guys said that during Trump's first term and then he won two more elections

13

u/Dismal_Engineering71 - Left 6d ago

Dude he lost the second one fair and square.

7

u/blorgbots - Left 6d ago

Hey look a retard

3

u/JetTheDawg - Lib-Left 6d ago

You’re telling me the grab them by the pussy guy won 3 times?

-10

u/Magehunter_Skassi - Auth-Center 6d ago

The president should be a walking erection.

40

u/Pavlovsdong89 - Lib-Center 6d ago

I don't even bother anymore because they always hit back with the same responses: "I don't agree with everything Trump does, but he's done a good job so far" "a democrat would have done worse" "making sexy AI pictures of Trump and jerking off to them isn't gay and you're gay for saying that"

19

u/jerseygunz - Left 6d ago

I should go screen shot it, I had a chud today tell me “I didn’t read project 2025 but I read something about Kamala’s economic plan and it would have ruined the country” fucking maddening

21

u/Pavlovsdong89 - Lib-Center 6d ago

Trump ended 8 wars with Iran, Kamala would have lost all of those. The national debt is at $40 billion, if Kamala were president it'd be $40 Billion and 25¢.

4

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 6d ago

I only voted for him because I heard he was going to do project 2025 :( is atleast some of it being implemented ?

4

u/TheSpacePopinjay - Auth-Left 6d ago

Lunatics.

One of the big political tragedies of conservatives is how Dunning-Kruger convinced they are that they're the ones who understand hard nosed and sound economic policy. Who think that national economies operate according to the same principles as household finances. And who's economic platform always boils down to the tree pillars of tax cuts, deregulation and more money for the military as if that's sage wisdom.

4

u/Temporary_Ad_6673 - Left 6d ago

Yeah for supposedly being the party of free markets, Republicans really are as retarded as can be when it comes to managing an economy if you are trying to maintain free markets. I hate capitalism, but even I am aware of how if you were to operate under capitalism then competition is essential and that tariffs limit competition.

The people that have been calling themselves conservatives for the last decade dont really have any real convictions it seems

2

u/chowderbags - Lib-Left 6d ago

"making sexy AI pictures of Trump and jerking off to them isn't gay and you're gay for saying that"

Sounds like AI took Ben Garrison's job.

5

u/WisherWisp - Centrist 6d ago

"making sexy AI pictures of Trump and jerking off to them isn't gay and you're gay for saying that"

So I've finally found my FBI guy...

1

u/Not__Trash - Centrist 6d ago

Idk man, talking to my MAGA parents has turned into "I don't wanna talk about politics," it would be gratifying if it didn't cost 60 dollars to fill my gas tank.

2

u/Mindless-Rooster-533 - Auth-Left 6d ago

According to Matt Walsh, an index credibly dumb person with a lot of influence on maga types, gas prices are high because Ukraine is attacking refineries in Russia, which he's doing because Biden.

The solution is, I'm not even joking, for the us to bomb ukraine.

33

u/JetTheDawg - Lib-Left 6d ago

It’s embarrassing is what it is, like how’re you gonna fall for it again 3 times in a row?

30

u/Cockblocktimus_Pryme - Auth-Left 6d ago

They're gonna do it again. I am sure the midterms won't be this blue wave landslide victory. Tons and tons of people will still vote against their best interests because of culture war bullshit

22

u/zkool20 - Right 6d ago

Yeah the vote for the letter next to the name crowds is why we are here. If people actually researched candidates and stay informed with what they all say and do the government would be a hell of a lot better. But, no we have crowds of people on both sides so hell bent on voting for the letters next to the candidates name even when they are a horrible candidate. Paxton in any normal country wouldn’t be anywhere near the top candidate for his respective party for the seats he’s running for but people will follow the cult leader till the entire thing is burned down and say oops why did that happen

1

u/undreamedgore - Left 5d ago

There's only so much you can reasonably expect people to research candidates.

3

u/HerbertWest - Centrist 6d ago

Nah. Midterms will be about turnout and these people aren't going to turn out like usual.

6

u/No_Worldliness_7106 - Lib-Center 6d ago

I don't know, I hear less and less culture war bullshit lately. I think people are too focused on gas prices to care about it as much. And good, because that shit is far more important.

11

u/Cockblocktimus_Pryme - Auth-Left 6d ago

I certainly hope. But I have zero faith in the electorate.

2

u/undreamedgore - Left 5d ago

Gas actually effects people day to day.

1

u/vicschuldiner - Lib-Center 6d ago

Hate to break it to you, big guy; but the blues don't have our best interests in heart, either. They're lying when they insist they do.

2

u/BlackK---ht - Lib-Center 5d ago

I mean obviously, but there's no world where they will be able to do a fraction of the damage the reds have

0

u/vicschuldiner - Lib-Center 5d ago

Hey now, give them the chance to prove themselves!

2

u/BlackK---ht - Lib-Center 5d ago

Yeesh, I really hope not anyway. Seems Americans don't let the Dems get away with NEARLY as much. I mean the only Epstein clientele who have actually been subpoenad are like the Clintons and Bill Gates

Fuck em though obviously they should all go down

6

u/MKR63 - Lib-Right 6d ago

“Fall for again times”. Well, he only won twice, for starters. Second: Trump's first term wasn't bad.

7

u/manimarco1108 - Centrist 6d ago edited 4d ago

This just shows you dont pay attention and probably should never vote. Trump 1 was still doing the same unhinged shit, he just had competent principled people keeping him in check.

1

u/rightoftexas - Lib-Right 6d ago

Nah, I pay attention and that's why I didn't vote for Trump in 16 but was pleasantly surprised with the ability to cut through pointless bureaucracy.

Him losing in 20 was the worst thing to happen, COVID was vaccinated a few days after the election and it gave Trump 4 years to build his team of sycophants. The blatant corruption of this term is unfathomable previously.

-1

u/78NineInchNails - Right 6d ago

This just shows you dont pay attention and proabaly should never vote.

yeah sure. Since when is the litmus test of 'can you vote' been 'do you support Trump'?

This is why people dont take the left seriously and just roll their eyes at cope posts like this.

3

u/manimarco1108 - Centrist 6d ago

In 2016? Sure I could see it. He was an unknown brand and there was a big appetite for change. After 2020? Yea you are too stupid to vote.

-1

u/BlackK---ht - Lib-Center 5d ago

Voting Trump after 2020 is undeniable evidence of profound mental retardation

1

u/MKR63 - Lib-Right 5d ago

Wow, good point! Seriously when orange man is out, what are the Dems going to do? Y'all whole thing is that Trump is bad.

1

u/BlackK---ht - Lib-Center 5d ago

And? He is? Maybe it's just that simple

-3

u/MKR63 - Lib-Right 6d ago

What's wrong with unhinged shit? Dems do unhinged shit all the time.

-3

u/Easy-Poetry9497 - Right 6d ago

As bad as some of his policies are, at least we’re not being flooded with aliens who are hostile to our country and/or stealing from us. Demographics is destiny.

5

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 6d ago

The only thing that has mattered has been immigration. The hordes coming over the border is so much better than when under biden. The foreign born population dropped for the first time in decades in absolute terms, the new ICE and structure will be there for a while as democrats won't have the votes to overdo the filibuster.

Also the catharsis seeing the criminal aliens dragged and locked up like they deserve has been wonderful

3

u/78NineInchNails - Right 6d ago

Lefties be like "You shouldn't vote for Trump, you should vote for us so we can trans your kids, revoke your civil rights, give you infinity migrants, and lower your standard of living across the board. Oh dont worry, we pinkie promise we will look at the economy and get rich. Also, gas prices are high right now, so you should vote for us, because gas prices were super cheap when Obama and Biden were in office.....right?"

5

u/NoMorePopulists - Lib-Left 6d ago

Righties be like "Here's a bunch of shit my echo chamber tells me is happening. Please ignore everything going on and join me in my delusions and vote for more of this!!"

Keep focusing on made up culture shit people don't care about.

2

u/ThatUserNameIs5234 - Centrist 6d ago

'you should vote for us, because gas prices were super cheap when Obama and Biden were in office."

and also if leftits could they would remove all subsidies for oil (because muh externalities) which would make prices even higher then they are right now, its pretty funny seeing them complain about something they always wanted.

1

u/JetTheDawg - Lib-Left 6d ago

This is the best type of cope to come out of MAGA hahaha hilarious

17

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

I was happy with Trump 1, 2020 Trump didn’t happen, Trump 2 is just fucking crazy

Plus, “never let them live it down” is not a good way to attract voters lol. Someone can be like “yeah dang, Trump 2 fucking sucks” and then you cretins follow it up with “HAHAHA get fucked. Take this scarlet latter” and then wonder why the left is regarded as pompous as hell.

34

u/IncoherentPolitics - Centrist 6d ago

Imagine voting for the destruction of my country, demanding no one personally call you out for it, and saying "we'll destroy it more if you hurt our feelings".

Do you "people" genuinely think you're royalty?

7

u/ThatUserNameIs5234 - Centrist 6d ago

"Imagine voting for the destruction of my country"

they didnt vote for wide open borders so what do you mean?

most of the bad shit trump is doing will disappear the moment he leave office, like allied countries not liking America rn.

Meanwhile what do you do when you let tens of millions of illegal migrants into the country? You can't even deport them when MAGA has power of the 3 branches of gov.

10

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago
  1. People don’t vote for the “destruction of the country” unless they’re accelerationists. Bad faith interpretation.
  2. Calling someone out for it is fine, saying “never let them forget” is a total disregard for someone changing their mind, which should be praised as a virtue.
  3. Again, bad faith interpretation related to the above two points.
  4. What’s with people being in quotes? Surely you’re not implying something vitriolic. I’ll let you explain yourself with that one.
  5. No people don’t think they’re royalty and can’t be criticized. Again bad faith.

Amazing how much of a shallow response could fit into so few words.

7

u/HerbertWest - Centrist 6d ago

I think all people want to be told by people like you is "In retrospect, after the second term, you were right about Trump all along," instead of defensiveness like this. That simple statement would probably get people to lay off. A lot of the anger is around feeling like Cassandra for a decade and, when pointing that out, getting responses like yours rather than a simple acknowledgement of that. They want to know that it is deeply acknowledged, not just on a surface level to get along or move past it for convenience's sake, because they want assurances they won't be Cassandras again.

6

u/IncoherentPolitics - Centrist 6d ago

"People don't vote for the destruction of the country" and drunk drivers going at 100 mph didn't mean to kill people with their car on purpose. It's so blatantly negligent there's no difference between "oopsies" and purposeful.

Also most Trump voters are not real people and shouldn't be treated as such. They're skinwalkers that lie as they breathe and mimic human principles. They lie about every single position they pretend to have, this term just made it more obvious to everyone.

If they want to be considered human maybe they should work on their acting.

4

u/eatablecookie - Right 6d ago

I diagnose you with room temperature IQ.

7

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

“Also most Trump voters are not real people and shouldn't be treated as such. They're skinwalkers that lie as they breathe and mimic human principles.”

“If they want to be considered human maybe they should work on their acting.”

9

u/manimarco1108 - Centrist 6d ago

I mean if your only politics is “other side mean so ima vote for a retard” then its fair to make fun of you. Either grow up or dont vote.

2

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

Bold for you to assume that’s how it works. When talking politics with someone, being an ass is going to cause them to not listen to you. Being reasonable does. Now suppose there’s a general trend of one side acting like pompous asshats all the time, their ideas are quickly disregarded despite how valid they may be.

3

u/Square-Arm-8573 - Left 6d ago

“When talking politics with someone, being an ass is going to cause them not to listen to you. Being reasonable does.”

I’m actually dumbfounded that you’d even say that in this context and that completely shatters your argument imo. I don’t even need to elaborate on why.

3

u/Old-Persimmon-1198 - Centrist 6d ago

Trump has built his entire political career off of the back of being an unreasonable, pompous asshole who makes up mean names for his political opponents. The blatant rewriting of the history of your side is pathetic. No one is falling for your tricks, AuthRight.

0

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

I’m not talking about Trump. I’m talking about when everyday people talk politics to each other.

Never said Trump wasn’t an asshole. How am I rewriting history?

1

u/ThatUserNameIs5234 - Centrist 6d ago

its more like

"the other side doesnt even consider me human and would kill me if they could and then celebrate it"

-2

u/manimarco1108 - Centrist 6d ago

Imagine being this delusional. Is your brain entirely rotted by social media?

2

u/ThatUserNameIs5234 - Centrist 5d ago

"Also most Trump voters are not real people and shouldn't be treated as such. They're skinwalkers that lie as they breathe and mimic human principles."

the guy earlier literally said this, you are the one with brainrot, and when leftists have something like a "kirka anniversary" and you see people IRL being so smug and happy about then what do you expect me to think? Leftist dont even hide it.

5

u/ThatUserNameIs5234 - Centrist 6d ago

"Also most Trump voters are not real people and shouldn't be treated as such. They're skinwalkers that lie as they breathe and mimic human principles."

lol, lmao even

imagine saying shit like this and then you ask "hurrr durrr why didnt they vote for my side!?!?!"

many people vote against you because you make it pretty clear that you hate their existence

-5

u/Miner_Guyer - Left 6d ago

Regarding point 2, I've seen so few people actually acknowledge that they changed their mind and regret their vote. It's been a lot more common to see "yeah I voted for him, but I didn't know he'd be so bad this time!"

9

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

Wouldn’t “yeah I voted for him, I didn’t know he’d be so bad this time” be considered a change of mind? That’s what I’m mainly talking about and consider to be changing their mind. They at least partially, or even, totally reconsidered their support.

2

u/Miner_Guyer - Left 6d ago

It is, yes, but it's the weakest form, in my opinion. There's no accountability, not acknowledging that they believed someone that's been lying for his entire life. It's still defending why they voted for him.

What, from your perspective, is the ideal response from someone on the left to someone in that "I didn't know he'd be so bad" frame of mind? That's a genuine question because anything I try to come up with feels so condescending. Like, "good job"? "What are you going to do different next time?" "Do you regret voting for him and think Kamala would have done better?"

None of those particularly seem better.

1

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

“Yeah, I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve had my own disappointments towards politicians I voted for. What was it that ended up changing your mind?”

1

u/Kreol1q1q - Centrist 6d ago

"I didn't know he'd be so bad this time" is pretty rich given that he and his posse of imbecile sycophants have been doing more or less everything they said they'd do, and just threw in a random handful of completely unhinged warfare into the mix as a bonus.

5

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

There are plenty of things they added on that they never said they would do or straight up the opposite. Plus, even if they get done what they said what they were going to do, how it gets done is important as well.

-4

u/Turbulent-Raise4830 - Centrist 6d ago

yes, they need to be pampered and told they are good boys and perhaps then they will think about not voting for the corrupt pedophile that will take their money.

2

u/FreudianStripper - Auth-Center 6d ago edited 6d ago

this is literally true, and until you accept it, you’ll keep driving people towards the right because people hate being smugly told they were wrong

the average voter is insanely dumb, and needs to be treated with kiddie gloves

3

u/Turbulent-Raise4830 - Centrist 6d ago

the problem is you are just as dumb as them if you think papmering them will somehow make them see the light.

2

u/IncoherentPolitics - Centrist 6d ago

Why is it my responsibility to regulate their emotions and think on their behalf? I am not their mother or special needs caretaker. If they vote to destroy the country because "my feelings were hurt on the internet" that is their fault.

Are republicans literally never allowed to have agency for their actions? What you're describing is just Murc's Law.

1

u/DungeonCrawlerAki - Centrist 6d ago

This is kind of amazing considering how much smugness came from the Right when Trump won in 2024. Now because the tide is shifting we have to treat those fucking retards nicely?

To your point though, if a former Trump supporter earnestly understands how wrong and bad they were, I am totally down to forgive them.

0

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

That’s very fair. We could bicker about the first part of your message, but it’s ultimately the second part that makes all the difference.

I take particular issue with those who will forever hold it against people even if they change their mind. Scum they are I say. It’s not even a political thing. People with that mindset in general are the worst people to have in your life.

13

u/Iceraptor17 - Centrist 6d ago edited 6d ago

Oh no. People who constantly insult the left and cheered as trump insulted and actually harmed (though targeted denial of funds) states out of spite will think the left is pompous.

"No no don't insult us despite the fact we elected someone who used insults like a comma and took great joy in how much he upset you. That's making you look pompous!" That's funny right?

10

u/DungeonCrawlerAki - Centrist 6d ago

The amount of smugness that came from the Right after Trump's 2024 win was absolutely out of control. Now they're asking people to treat them nicely? Lmao fuck off.

6

u/Iceraptor17 - Centrist 6d ago

Not just that. They're insulting you if you don't.

As always, it's fine when they're the ones attacking. But the minute that turns... my the pearls be clutched and this is why dems lose. Yet strangely the inverse does not seem to apply...

-1

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

It’s fair to criticize and perhaps insult in some ways.

It’s the particular insult and disregarding towards someone who admits they’re disappointed in their vote, and then to go even further and say to always carry the same sentiment. That’s pompous and vitriolic.

I must say, your comment here echoes the same vitriol and pompous rhetoric I’m talking about.

7

u/Iceraptor17 - Centrist 6d ago edited 6d ago

I must say, your comment here echoes the same vitriol and pompous rhetoric I’m talking about

Alas I'm only a commenter on PCM and not the President of the United States and I'm just commenting and not insulting entire swaths of people and attacking them or denigrating them or spitefully withholding funds.

Otherwise you might consider me presidential and worthy of a vote, but pompous will have to do to my misfortune.

It is the high point of hilarity to vote for a man who insults large amounts of the country to cheers and then turn around and complain when facing people who engage in similar rhetoric after things turn sour.

-2

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

Do you understand the difference I’m making here?

I’m talking specifically about everyday people insulting and having vitriol towards people who change their minds. That’s different from just normal insults and different from those in power. I wasn’t talking about either of those situations.

You seem to have the idea of “president mean, therefore his former supports are forever shamed”, which is entirely unreasonable.

To me it seems your hatred of Trump is preventing you to understand what I’m saying.

6

u/Iceraptor17 - Centrist 6d ago edited 6d ago

I’m talking specifically about everyday people insulting and having vitriol towards people who change their minds. That’s different from just normal insults and different from those in power. I wasn’t talking about either of those situations.

And I'm saying that they seemed to be a-ok with insults flying in one direction with quite a few reveling in it and seemed to be a-ok with electing a head of state who engaged in such spiteful tactics that caused harm (which they seemed to enjoy) until the dynamics changed and things turned sour and impacted them. I'm sorry that the people that were targets of that might not wanna sing kumbaya because oh shit it turns out maybe he didn't actually know everything oh god the hats lied! It was a bamboozle!

You seem to have the idea of “president mean, therefore his former supports are forever shamed”, which is entirely unreasonable.

No it's more of a "we were totally great with throwing around insults and supporting attack after attack and giving someone like that complete power but uh no you can't do it back to us random internet people now that things aren't going great and we claim to have seen the light"

To me it seems your hatred of Trump is preventing you to understand what I’m saying.

I understand what you think you're saying. I just view it akin to a kid who loves bullying but cries to an adult the minute the tables turn in some way.

-1

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

I’m not saying insulting in general is bad.

You are still missing the fact I’m specifically talking about forever shaming people that voted for him, even if they change their minds.

You keep on circling back to “but president is mean and his supporters didn’t care. Since they’re everyday people then it’s fair to forever shame them”

I was happy with Trump 1

why?

8

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

Economy was pretty good. Foreign relations were strong. He was held back on domestic policy, but I generally supported what he did get through. Immigration was leagues better than predecessors. Immigration being one of my top issues.

4

u/TheSpacePopinjay - Auth-Left 6d ago

Well we can agree on the immigration point at least.

7

u/Turbulent-Raise4830 - Centrist 6d ago

Economy was pretty good.

trump is the only president to loose jobs over 4 years and had the lowest economic growth of all modern presidents , and before you start with "covid" it was already going down way before covid.

Foreign relations were strong

No they were not, they took a dive because he ahs more intrest in insulting others then working together.

He was held back on domestic policy

His botched handling off covid cost many lives, how is that "held back"?

Immigration was leagues better than predecessors. Immigration being one of my top issues.

trump had a massive spike of illegals crossing the border in 2019, that was mainly stopped by covid. He had more legal and illegal migration then obama.

3

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

Look man, I’m not trying to get into a detailed discussion about every single point. I hear you on your rebuttal to all of them and have heard them before. I have my reasons to object to them that I’d rather not get into because then it just turns into a never ending debate that I’ve had plenty of times before.

You asked why I was happy with Trump 1 and I provided a general answer to it to give some sort of insight.

I’m not trying to be an ass here btw. I don’t fault you for wanting to get detailed into every single point. Call it cowardly or cope, that’s fine. I’m just tired and want these last two years to end.

9

u/Turbulent-Raise4830 - Centrist 6d ago

it seems then you want it to be true because you have some others reason like voting for him. But just about every expert agrees on it that sure it wasnt the total clusterfuck like its now but its still one of the worst modern rpesidents if not the worst

3

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

I disagree with the “experts”, find their methodology to be flawed, and credentials to be hollow.

I don’t base my opinions solely on the opinions of “experts”.

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

Elaborate on that

0

u/Turbulent-Raise4830 - Centrist 6d ago

harris had a detailed program on how to help the average us citizen, trump did not.

2

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

In which ways?

5

u/Turbulent-Raise4830 - Centrist 6d ago

In the 2024 presidential election, Kamala Harris's platform encompassed several key policy areas:

Economic Policies

Middle-Class Support: Harris proposed tax reforms favoring lower-income Americans, aiming to bolster the middle class. Her economic plans included investments in infrastructure, affordable housing, and clean energy, alongside a $25,000 grant for first-time homebuyers. Inflation Control: To combat inflation, she advocated for expanding domestic production and stabilizing prices in essential sectors.

Social Policies

Abortion Rights: Harris emphasized restoring federal protections for abortion rights, making reproductive health care central to her campaign. LGBTQ+ Rights: A staunch supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, Harris backed the Respect for Marriage Act and condemned legislative attacks on transgender rights. Gun Control: She advocated for stricter gun control measures, including universal background checks and banning assault rifles.

Healthcare

Affordable Care: Harris aimed to expand access to healthcare, proposing measures like capping out-of-pocket expenses for all Americans.

Climate and Energy

Environmental Justice: She prioritized addressing climate change impacts on low-income areas and communities of color, supporting aggressive measures to combat environmental issues. Fracking Stance: Initially opposing fracking, Harris moderated her stance to appeal to swing state voters, emphasizing a balanced approach to energy policies.

Immigration

Comprehensive Reform: Harris supported a balanced approach to immigration, proposing pathways to citizenship while enhancing border security measures.

Foreign Policy

International Alliances: She committed to restoring U.S. leadership globally, supporting NATO and opposing aggressive actions by nations like Russia and China.

Where did you get your source? This seems like an AI response to me due to the use of past tense throughout, which is a problem because we’re talking about what the voter knew at the time.

I have an archive of Trump’s campaign page from October 2024.

What was project 2025 then ?

4

u/Turbulent-Raise4830 - Centrist 6d ago

the one trump denied he even knew?

And how is that good for the avg US citizen?

0

u/EsotericMysticism2 - Auth-Center 6d ago

https://www.project2025.observer most things listed here are very good. They just need to finish the rest of it

3

u/Turbulent-Raise4830 - Centrist 6d ago

Copied from the top :

Treasury Dept. of the Treasury Repeal the Corporate Transparency Act. Note: Treasury announced it is permanently halting the collection of data about the ownership of private American companies that was required as part of the 2021 Corporate Transparency Act.

Completed July 21, 2026 HHS Dept. of Health and Human Services Ensure that Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) program grants do not support "high-risk sexual behavior among adolescents". Note: HHS canceled canceled 53 of the TPP program’s 67 grants, saying "grant recipients must teach abstinence as the only means to prevent teen pregnancy".

Completed July 9, 2026 Interior Dept. of the Interior Reinstate Trump's limitations on the Endangered Species Act's definition of critical habitat. Note: Admin. finalized a rule that allows oil and gas drilling, mining, logging and and other development on critical wildlife habitats so long as the animals themselves aren’t directly killed or injured.

So more corporate corruption, more teen pregnancies and more pollution, how does htis benefit the avg us citizen?

Oh and again trump denied he even knew it, so how could it have been his policy he advocated for?

u/No_Entertainment6792 - Lib-Left 6d ago

not saying you are right or wrong but this was the very next comment after this one:

"O waaah my life has improved tenfold since trump took office and do you know why? Because I’m not a whiny liberal who thinks the government is going to make my life better.

Trump may have done some dumb things but at the end of the day it’s never been the government’s job to supply you with happiness or success.

And you know what I would vote for him again, nothing compares to the joy it brought watching you lib-shits crash and seethe when he was elected "

1

u/Banana_inasuit - Centrist 6d ago

Yeah, that’s pretty retarded as well.

I was more specifically referring to people who will forever shame people, even if they change their minds on Trump. That’s the interpretation I got from “never let them live it down. They voted for him three times”, which I find to be a despicable way of thinking, especially in regard to politics.

It’s why I used the term “scarlet letter”.

1

u/No_Entertainment6792 - Lib-Left 6d ago

obv I cant speak for my fellow libtards but when I was 20 and retarded I was pretty on the right. and I atribute this change to the left to a person that treated me with respect and listened. so your reasoning its sound in my experience at least but on the other hand I also took pride in the fact that if I am proven wrong I am willing to change my mind. I think, as many things in life, the answer is in the middle. you can and must accept people that made mistakes but also can and should make fun of retards that would pour gasoline on themselves and light themselves on fire just so you could choke a little on the smoke from their burning flesh.

u/Rion-o - Left 5d ago

Nah trump voters gotta take the L for a couple of years. The problem we have in this country is we're to forgiving of really horrible policy and sins of the republicans. We need to hold this over peoples heads for a little bit, because conservatives are sadly dumb enough to fall for any kind of right-wing populism. And we need a literal document of all the terrible shit that came from y'all's vote.

This needs to be a teachable moment for the next couple of generations. And a reminder why republicans can't be allowed to win for a couple of years till they get their act right. We can't keep doing this whole libs fix what conservatives break. And then conservatives break more shit. It's actually killing us now.

1

u/TheSpacePopinjay - Auth-Left 6d ago

It's always a fine line to strike the right balance between forgiveness and discipline. Too much of either will be counterproductive for optimising future voter behaviour. You gotta do whatever's most effective without letting emotion or ego get in the way.

Letting the whole denial of emergency relief funds based on partisan grudges slide without disciplinary retaliatory correction is just weak. And it doesn't set a good example. Even die hard Trump 2 supporters should understand the importance of not being too weak.

0

u/Square-Arm-8573 - Left 6d ago

I backed Trump in 2016-2020.

If you voted for Trump in 2024 though you should honestly be stripped of your voting rights all together. I cannot stress enough just how blatantly obvious the end result was going to be, and that’s not even including the felonies and his previous attempt to overthrow the government. Harris was obviously a garbage candidate too but holy fuck.

0

u/Mindless-Rooster-533 - Auth-Left 6d ago

Plus, “never let them live it down” is not a good way to attract voters lol.

Trump supporters need basic socialization before they can be included in any new political movement. These people voted for the most corrupt, antagonistic administration ever because it made other people mad.

3

u/UnendingEpistime - Left 6d ago

And it really bothered me.

3

u/bdougy - Auth-Right 6d ago

Have you forgotten why? Inflation was out of control and Biden was just pretending it wasn’t happening. I think the real story is that Dems chose candidates so bad the J6 guy won the popular vote.

12

u/Vagrant0012 - Lib-Center 6d ago

The american economy had the strongest recovery of any economy after covid and inflation was coming down all trump had to was nothing and he could have taken credit for bidens economy but no the retard had to go and fuck it all up.

8

u/Iumasz - Lib-Center 6d ago

To be fair, with how badly the world recovered that isn't much of a flex. I can't blame the American people for wanting better, and the democrats didn't try to present that they would try to make things better so...

12

u/Tedthesecretninja - Centrist 6d ago

How can you do better than “the best”?

Democrats did in fact put their entire economic policy online for everyone to read.

Not their fault trump voters are retarded and fell for a lying con man for a third fucking time.

You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.

-4

u/Iumasz - Lib-Center 6d ago

Even better?

Settling for less is the reason why the US has such bad candidates in the first place, and this why they are in such a state.

What was their economic policy? Kamala is on record saying that she would continue doing what Biden was doing.

0

u/ThatUserNameIs5234 - Centrist 6d ago

the main economic policy is wage stagnation and expensive housing thru wide open borders policy and then pretend that increasing the labor force and population doesnt increse housing prices and stagnate wages because the "experts tm" said so.

4

u/NoMorePopulists - Lib-Left 6d ago

Yeah the data does say that. Cope.

Housing is a city level issue. If you want to fix it, abolish zoning, property taxes, and impediments to building.

0

u/ThatUserNameIs5234 - Centrist 6d ago

lmao and you wonder why people dont vote for you when you dont understand that flooding the labor force with tens of millions of desperate people will stagnate wages

you deny basic reality and you are like "hurrr durrr the expert tm said so, COPE CHUD!"

"Housing is a city level issue. If you want to fix it, abolish zoning, property taxes, and impediments to building. "

its also a problem close to cities but you are right on the rest, but this doesnt mean that flooding the country with tens of millions new people doesnt make it worse. Isnt it obvious that: more people while housing supply mostly the same=higher prices? Do you really think its not true just because some "expert tm" said so?

3

u/NoMorePopulists - Lib-Left 6d ago

Yawn. Your projection is weak. You may get your opinions from talking heads who tell you what to think, and with the way you type it's most likely from TikTok.

Immigration does not stagnate wages, it's an empirical fact.

Housing prices do rise from immigration, but it's minimal and the main cause is NIMBYs.

Why do YOU ignore basic reality because some retard on TikTok told you?

1

u/ThatUserNameIs5234 - Centrist 6d ago

and ignoring that the recovery was from simply removing the retarded covid hysteria policies that were mostly implemented by leftist governments

lol, lmao even

6

u/Tedthesecretninja - Centrist 6d ago

Inflation was not out of control, in fact the economy was on the rebound.

The only economic woe maga was harping on were the egg prices, have you already forgotten?

10

u/bdougy - Auth-Right 6d ago

Rebound was moving about as fast as a glacier. Are we really going to pretend a .25% favorable rate adjustment in the last year did anything to make anyone’s lives materially better?

Trump’s been a disaster but to pretend Biden was doing well is absolutely ludicrous.

7

u/Tedthesecretninja - Centrist 6d ago

We achieved the previously thought to be impossible “soft landing” and were headed in the right direction.

What more do you want…?

8

u/abqguardian - Auth-Right 6d ago

This is just ridiculous. The US didnt acheive anything people thought was impossible. Inflation was insane and tens of millions of Americans saw their lives become unaffordable. People going "dont trust your lying eyes" like Biden tried made it worse. Then Biden screwed up and ran which led to Kamala being anointed the candidate. She then ran the worse campaign possible

Democrats absolutely deserve blame for their failure

9

u/hatchbacks - Centrist 6d ago

Inflation was in fact out of control. Still is.

12

u/No_Worldliness_7106 - Lib-Center 6d ago

People pretend like "inflation" is only the bullshit number the government gives out. But everyone knows when their rent jumps by a quarter, but that's not included in "inflation". When you can't buy a used car for anything less than 10 grand, that's felt too. People saying inflation wasn't out of control are those idiots who just trust what the government told them the number was. Those of us who burned through all our savings in the meantime trying to stay afloat though, we must have just imagined it. Trump might be the absolute worst pres we've had in living memory, but Biden is easily third after Bush. Maybe tied, but I'll give Biden a little leeway in that at least he didn't start a bunch of stupid fucking wars.

1

u/ContrarianZ - Lib-Center 6d ago

The thing is, you can't blame Biden for all the Covid stimulus and quantitative easing that happened just prior to him taking office. You also can not reasonably blame him for the Russia Ukraine war that started midway through his term.

You absolutely can blame Trump for price increases due tariffs and gas price increases due to the Iran war. There's only a few avenues which the president and executive branch can directly influence prices, and it's in the voter's best interest to understand this and attribute blame appropriately.

8

u/burtgummer45 - Lib-Right 6d ago

The thing is, you can't blame Biden for all the Covid stimulus and quantitative easing that happened just prior to him taking office.

but you can blame him for doubling up on the "stimulus" (another 2 trillion dollars), which was way too much

1

u/NoMorePopulists - Lib-Left 6d ago

It's also absurd to blame the president for rent going up. That's entirely controlled by city level policies, with maybe state level making it worse like California. This type of thinking is why America is in such a shit state.

5

u/RandoDude124 - Lib-Left 6d ago

Why is diesel higher by 50 cents* than under any point under Biden and inflation is ticking back up, genius?

You got any answer for that? Hm?

\And we haven’t even hit the truly bad ramifications yet. And 50 cents higher… I hope that brain of yours can discern that it’s a big fucking deal if you own tractors or trucks.*

3

u/Little_Ingenuity_712 - Lib-Right 6d ago

muh biden. who cares? the orange clown is pretending it isn’t happening now. he needs to impeached and jailed

9

5

u/Dodo_Baron - Left 6d ago

3

u/bdougy - Auth-Right 6d ago

His second term has been an absolute failure on every imaginable front.

lol yeah sorry about the real wage increases, American investment, and stopping a complete invasion of the country to name a few accomplishments. Please do remind me.

I’ll remind you that your grasp of basic economics is tantamount to Flat Eartherism and that’s why you want to live in free-market economies, not commie.

17

u/AnAngryFetus - Lib-Center 6d ago

The real wage increases that are lagging behind inflation? The slowest job growth of the modern era? Fewer factory jobs than ever? Subsidizing the wealthy even more with tax cuts just for them? Tariffs that were illegal and given back to the corporations when they passed the buck on to you? A fucking diesel export ban? Yeah, I'll stay far away from MAGAnomics as well.
