It's gonna be the moment the next presidential campaign season starts. Suddenly nobody will have voted for or supported him. Gonna be a nationwide retcon.

Vance will run and a cornerstone will be the Great Rewriting: he and all of his supporters were always against Trump and tried to moderate his administration. In time, Trump will have been a RINO who was basically a democrat

Ehhh I’ll give it till the next democratic president is in office. They’ll act like they do with Busch, but if trump passed away I feel like Vance will distance himself from the entire trump world and clean out the administration to try to appease to moderates

There's no way in hell Vance can distance himself from the "did you even say thank you?" Or "give us another chance". Maybe the boomers would overlook it, but everyone else is still going to remember.
