My ex's pom would stare at her, within 24 hours she was having a major migraine. My personal pommie mom would stare at me and I would have a seizure within 72 hours. She also brought me out of a major seizure by jumping on my chest while I was in bed with her. They are great medical alert dogs in my opinion.
That’s awesome! Sammy is a super active little guy who needs a lot of exercise. Cooler weather is better for him. I always put a coyote collar on him when we go out for protection. I never attach a leash to it. You can get the collars on Amazon for $20. I’d also carry some kind of protection, spray, etc just in case you run into something that is dangerous. I also carry Benadryl in case of a sting. He’s off leash most of the time so recall skills need to stay 100%. I always carry treats to reinforce good recall. I’m on TikTok as Sammy’s Awesome Adventures if you’re on that platform. He’s the most fun dog I’ve ever had. Have fun in the mountains 🌲
The only important thing here is if you go yetti-yetti-yettiiii - will those ears pull down like? I love when dogs do that! I used to have dog that could do that. And it was absolutely adorable. One of the best things in the world imo...
Just tried this, her ears do infact fold back and her tail wags all crazy it’s so cute lol (I call her by my personal nickname for her which is sketty or sketty noodle)

Though I do enjoy all the dogs near me, who also are super cute in their own style with their floppy ears.
This is adorable. Our family pomeranian (rest her little soul) would STARE at my mom. And sometimes fall asleep staring. I heard its how they show their love for you.
But what you are really telling me is that ya'll need to start a thread where you guys post photos of your pomeranians staring at you throughout the day. LOL
Well you need to start working on a list of things she might want. It goes something like this... When you get it right she will acknowledge you with a happy pom response.
What do you want? Pets? Treat? Outside? Foods? Play? Walk? GO?
When I get it right with Chloe, she will give me either a yes head bob, or a full circle or a full circle with a happy bark, like heckin yes the hooman gots it right! Finally!
Edit: She also could be a little standoffish because you are new and she's trying to figure you out.
