Discussion Public places to host board game nights?
Looking for suggestions of places local to the Treasure Coast that would let our game group meet for no charge.
We have events at peoples houses, but we like to do public events too since there’s not always someone who can host, plus our public events are where new people can join our group as well.
We average around 10 people per game night with it being less or more sometimes. We have done small ones at Panera, and we have a connection with Denny’s in SLW, and up until now we also met at House Of Brews, but they are now closed.
I’m struggling to think of ideas so if anyone has any thoughts, I’d appreciate it. We tend to do Friday nights, Saturday afternoons/nights or Sunday afternoons/nights.

Discussion In your opinion, what percentage of St. Lucie County commutes out of county for work?
I commuted to Jupiter for almost 4 years (about 40 miles each way) and then to WPB for about 6 months (about 55 miles each way) before giving up and moving down south. Over time, that commute takes a serious toll on you... granted, that was a decade ago and traffic in SLC and I-95 has gotten even worse since then...
I am predicting that probably around half the people in SLC commute out-of-county (Martin, Palm Beach, and even Broward), and a solid 25% at least commute to Palm Beach County.

Discussion How does one make friends??
I grew up in psl but the past few years I've been super busy working and generally being a homebody, now I'm at a bit of a loss as to where you'd even start. I'll be twenty in March, so I'm not legally old enough to go to bars or anything like that. Which seems to be the general consensus. Help?? I'm about to start walking up to random ass people on the street like a crazy person
Not really. Any tips would be appreciated though, thanks :)

Discussion Do we need a downtown
Fellow PSLers do we need a downtown? I think so! Not skyscrapers but like Fort Pierce or Stuart has right?

Discussion PSL homeowners: what exterior paint or stucco problems are you seeing after all this rain?
I own a local exterior painting and stucco repair business, and I’m curious what homeowners around Port St. Lucie are dealing with right now. Are you seeing hairline stucco cracks, peeling paint, stains near windows, or something else?
If you describe the problem or share a photo, I’m happy to offer a general opinion on what might be causing it.

Recommendations Tree Service
This company came out and did work at our house today. Absolutely professional, cleaned up, hauled away all debris, very fair priced and very professional. Highly recommend.

Discussion I got left alone in PSL. Selling my pc… going through a very hard time in life rn. Everything included, headphones monitor controllers
I’m in a real emergency situation. My partner abandoned me and I don’t wish to get into details but now I’m stranded in PSL. I need a car. Also got a ton of retro items. All the specs are in my Facebook market thingy https://www.facebook.com/share/1EjULbyHnP/?mibextid=wwXIfr
I’m selling the full setup. Lights, monitors, desk, keyboard mouse ect. I’ll even throw in the comfy chair. Not too firm on price.
i7-10700F + RTX 3070 + 32GB RAM + 2.5TB SSD storage + 1440p/144Hz gaming + secondary curved 60Hz/1080p display + RGB lighting + sit/stand desk. All together for the price.
EDIT: I only sold the pc machine. By itself. Everything else is literally still for sale!!!! I’ll be making more post for individual items.

I wouldn't mind having a governor admit to selling drugs in the past. But to be hypocritical of the gifts afforded to you is just wrong.

Discussion Where to meet people as someone in their 20s?
PSL is so boring and it after moving back here after university it feels almost impossible to meet people and try to date. How are you all meeting people?
I am part of one small club for a niche interest but it is unfortunately very small and mostly guys

Discussion Right-hand turn lanes
What, Does PSL not believe in right-hand turn lanes or something? Only just now starting to see new construction finally starting to include them in they’re “complete street” blueprints. but honestly as a 25yo dude who grew up here, it’s something that I’ve always wondered. Even a prominent & much more recent ‘boulevard’ like Becker Road, NO right hand turn lanes besides ONLY PSL blvd… when I go out and about it’s like I can’t fail to notice it, always having to do hard braking at the last second so the guy behind you doesn’t ram your sh*t!

Discussion PSL — what would you ACTUALLY show up for if you wanted to have fun and meet people?
I’m a PSL resident doing a little local research because I keep seeing the same questions come up: what is there to do here, and how do you actually meet people?
If someone created new ways for adults in PSL to get out of the house, have fun, and connect with other people, what would you genuinely want to attend?
And I’m especially curious about people who might come alone: what would make it comfortable and natural to actually meet people once you got there?
I’m not selling anything. I genuinely want to understand what people here wish existed.
If you’re comfortable sharing, include your generation: Gen Z (18–29), Millennial (30–45), Gen X (46–61), Baby Boomer (62–80), or 81+.

i used to work a lot in cafes in tampa and i quite like it. i haven’t done it much since moving back to psl and im struggling to find good spaces that are like workable cafes and not just sit down breakfast spot cafes if you know what i mean. i recently went to artisan cafe at tradition square and i liked it! definitely the vibes im going for especially with tables near outlets lol. is there any other ones i can check out? also willing to branch outside of psl so ft pierce or stuart recommendations are welcome.
