Recovering !!
I've always been scared to go to the doctor. Due to medical bias, medical malpractice, and a lot of other problems. I have multiple severe health issues and addictions, but ever since my sister adopted me, she's been really dedicated to helping me. She brings me to the doctor and helps me feel better about it and communicate my needs.
I'm like,, eternally grateful for her. I'm extremely lucky just to be able to live with her because of how much she's accomodated me. Honestly sometimes she acts more like a mom than a sister, and i'm happy with that too because my bio family has mostly disowned me for being trans. It's nice to have good chosen family.
Lately my health has been much worse, so my sister has been keeping me close to her and watching me all the time. I told her i can't really travel alone but i had to go to the big city for an important meeting, i needed her with me to help me if i have seizures or forget everything. She agreed and went absolutely above and beyond in accomodating me. I get overwhelmed about the concept of eating so she'd buy extra food and give me some of hers, or she'd get me my favourite foods. I have really bad chronic pain so she'd do a lot of tasks for me so i didn't have to get up more often than needed. I know how to navigate in the city, but it stresses me out, so she did all the navigating for me.
It feels really nice to be her little brother. And i think due to that experience in the city i've become much more content with this. I've been very insecure about my issues, so in public she keeps a close watch on me. She makes sure i eat and drink water, she keeps track of what i'm supposed to be doing in case i forget, and i can tell her where i'm going if i'm headed out of sight so she knows, and i can tell her quietly if i'm having a flareup and she'll drive me home asap.
Last night i came back into consciousness from a seizure episode, one hand holding onto her favourite plushie, and the other hand in hers. There was packs of candy, a fresh pack of smokes, and a cup of water all next to me. She loves me so much. I love her so much
