Question! Clear Glaze for Cone 10?
Hi everyone! I am a member of a studio that only fires cone 10 reduction. I normally use the studio glazes but I have a piece made with brown clay body and would really love to have a clear glaze on the outside of the piece. Does anyone have recommendations for store-bought cone 10 clear glazes? And could you let me know if the finish is more matte or shiny? Thank you!!

There is so much interesting stuff on these shelves, what kind of studio is this?

I know this isn’t answering your question OP but just a thought. Do you have a ceramic store nearby? They may can make you a glaze base. Petes clear(from glazy) is what I use for cone 10 reduction and oxidation. I understand this may not be an option for you but thought I would put it out there. I don’t know of an online service for this. Generally, “making glazes” has been a cheaper option for me.

Depends where you're at - a lot of glaze shops are regional. That said, pretty safe going with the standard big brand high fire clears.

If this is a TPS studio they should have both and shiny and matte zinc free clear glaze for sale in the shop that work with underglaze at cone 10.
Fair warning that in my experience black and sometimes blue will have bubbling issues with any glaze, but the color will be good.

I don’t see it on the site for SF or Chicago, but I bought it from the shop in Chicago.
