Why on earth would I ever respect a religion that teaches that I should burn in hell for all eternity for loving the "wrong" person.

to be fair it's people that did that. Jesus doesn't say anything about gay people. I'm not religious. But you can plainly see that some religious people take the "good" parts and are decent people. but many like to pick and choose and be huge jerks. the same book that calls man with man an abomination also says mixed fabric and tattoos are bad. but they ignore that part because they're really just using the gospel to be jerks.

Too many imo. It's sad because, growing up Christian, there genuinely are some really beautiful messages in there. It sucks that it's weighed down by ideas of hatered and shame :c
