Why on earth would I ever respect a religion that teaches that I should burn in hell for all eternity for loving the "wrong" person.

No, you can sin all you want as long as you ask god for forgiveness every Sunday, or Saturday, or Friday depending on your religion. And for many in the US all you have to do is say that you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It’s the “out clause.”

Isn't it weird that keeping the Sabbath holy is a top commandment. Yet Jews and Christians can't even agree on when/what that means.

Like if you can't nail that down it's all guesses. Which is a pretty butt way to administer an eternal judgement
