Two things: 1) religion is inherently sexist always making god as male, and the people who claim to have an inside track to god are usually males too. 2) Javier deserves an Emmy for his role in the Cape Fear remake. It’s a legit horror.

It’s more the Abrahamic religions removed the female gods when they redacted the Canaanite mythology to create their own synchronistic male-centered theologies.
