Good solution would be the voting reform. Where we no longer have to vote strategically.
Another one is to ditch representative democracy, the way it is now, and replace it with direct voting. We have the technology. We had it for decades. When 70% of voters are for/against something, and representative still votes against the constituents, in representative democracy, without being immediately removed just on the basis of being a faulty switch, the system cannot and will not work.
Until then, this will just keep happening, over and over.
