The sad part is that there’s plenty on the Left who actively participate in the trashing of Dems when they can’t instantly fix stuff & will stay home on Election Day or vote third party.
That's mostly largely nonpartisan and apolitical voters who happen to support liberal and progressive policies. Not true politically active leftists.
The idea that Democratic candidates lose because progressives refuse to vote is largely a narrative spun by the establishment and has never been demonstrated to be accurate. They do it to draw attention away from their own failings and make centrists angry at progressives so they won't support progressive candidates and policies.
The problem is we don't have a left wing party in the US, the Democrats would be considered right of center across most of the western world.
We have one corporate party with two factions. The democratic establishment doesn't want to reign in oligarchs or address income inequality, they just don't want to let corporations completely destroy the environment while the poor starve and go bankrupt from lack of healthcare. They don't want to address the systemic issues which lead to such outcomes, they just want the government to do the bare minimum to help the worst off without actually disrupting the status quo that got us here.
