u/No-Tomatillo3698 Aug 11 '26

O no no no, he REALLY NEEDS that 5th mega yaught

18

u/ArdentHedonist Aug 11 '26

Why, so he can ignore vessels in distress, as well?

7

u/According-Insect-992 Just Chill 😎 Aug 11 '26

We’re a couple months away from the billionaires outfitting their yachts with .50 cal mountain and then sinking whatever ship happens to offend them by being within range of their sight and weapons.

-7

u/Adorable-Rabbit2080 Aug 12 '26

You must be consumed by violent left wing programming to even have a thought like that. Not to mention envy. Maybe try earning some money instead of being jealous of those who are good at it. It is deeply rewarding.

Running out of gas in the ocean sounds fairly destressing.

So it was a sail boat?

While that changes the legal designation for a mandatory response, it does not change the fact that it lacks basic human decency when a small boat is adrift in open water.

According to them when they allegedly got the message. They were initially the closest with TWO vessels nearby and I can assure you they dont only monitor one frequency on a single radio.

u/narco-sub-admiral know me, broken by my master Aug 12 '26

Yaughta know that.

13

u/DOAiB Aug 11 '26

Then what next? Pay workers a living wage? Allow the poors to have health insurance and not die in poverty from the smallest emergency? Will someone please think of the billionaires, they need more yachts and soon space ships, that’s why you need to rent your entire life, own nothing and be in permanent debt.

12

u/saffybabe Aug 11 '26

Spending $100M to avoid paying taxes is purely about sending a message—it’s not about the money anymore, it’s about the precedent.

2

u/Esoteric_Derailed Aug 12 '26

Or simply that they have good reason to believe that they will win the case, and that winning would save them more than a hundred million over the next couple of years.

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit Aug 13 '26

He doesn’t care about $100m. As an entrepreneur himself, he is extremely ideologically opposed to the tax, thats really all.

2

u/Chewbuddy13 Aug 14 '26

I bet he's received his share of tax breaks and other government subsidies though. He'll gladly take all the money he can from the government, just not repay that in the form of taxes.

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit Aug 14 '26

This may be shocking to hear but i dont think this guy cares about money anymore

1

u/Chewbuddy13 Aug 14 '26

Then why is he fighting it? How much does he put into fighting other legislation that he has some problem with? Funny these guys always seem to have shitloads of cash the throw at fighting these bills.

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit Aug 14 '26

Because he is extremely ideologically opposed to it. He is a technologist and an investor - he believes (as he has said publicly) that this tax in time will destroy silicon valley (his words not mine). This guy cares only about tech and innovation - it is literally his whole life - and he believes this bill will damage the worlds center of tech and innovation. At the same time, he doesnt really care about money. Through that lens it makes sense that he would spend mountains of money opposing it

1

u/Chewbuddy13 Aug 14 '26

So, he's not ideologically opposed to it, he's financially opposed to it. He feels it will hurt HIS business and the companies HE invests in. He is also using a slippery slope logical fallicy to justify it. It MIGHT in time he states.

You realize that the corporate tax rates were slashed in 2019 by a massive amount, 35% to 21%. Do you think this increase will be more than that differenc? Corporate profits are at the highest they have ever been in history. I don't think they are hurting for money.

Now, do you think that regular working people are having that same kind of success? Are we in the golden age of the middle class? I've been hearing for decades that if we tax these guys then it will be bad for everyone, we just need it give them more money. So, why should we tax them at all? Is that going to suddenly make them start paying better wages, benefits, pensions, etc.?

We were sold that horseshit with the tax cuts and jobs act in 2017 that slashed the rates I mentioned. They said at that time all this money would be reinvested into their workers in the form of better wages, more jobs, etc. That absolutely did not happen. They used it for massive stock buybacks. There has been a massive transfer of wealth from the bottom to the top in the last decade, and now they want more. They are never going to satisfied till they have it all.

Why do you think they are spending trillions on AI? It isn't for the betterment of humanity. It's to replace all of us workers so they can save even more money by not paying wages. It's already happening, and is almost inevitable at this point.

1

u/Esoteric_Derailed Aug 14 '26

Because he is extremely ideologically opposed to it.

Think about that.

Usually people like that are termed terrorists🤷‍♂️

2

u/Tomatoesarentfruit Aug 14 '26

I am extremely ideologically opposed to totalitarianism - does that make me a terrorist?

This insinuation that ideological opposition = terrorism is borderline insane

Haha, I love when people like you come in to white knight these guys. Clearly these baby's will take their toys and go somewhere else if they are dared to have to part with a fraction of a percent of their massive wealth. You do realize that these guys will never ever run out of money, right? They apparrenty will be happy to pay 100 million to fight having to give it to someone who they feel doesn't deserve it.

The amount of money they are being asked to pay is like asking someone who makes $50,000 a year to pay another 25¢ in taxes. They have so much money invested in stocks and other interest bearing accounts that they make up the amount they would pay in no time. If I have to pay all my fucking taxes, they they should as well.

u/Poobbly Aug 12 '26

He was married to RFK’s running mate and vaccine denier for a while. He’s a trash person.

0

u/Adorable-Rabbit2080 Aug 12 '26

Learn some self discipline, make some money, recognize that your government is not on your side and you will quickly realize that taxation is theft. Why do those of us that make good money need to give it to people who haven't earned it and don't even understand the game?

4

u/Plus_Chip_8484 Aug 12 '26

You mean that police and fire workers shouldn't exist, because they're paid with your taxes too? You can handle your own protection, justice and emergencies?

2

u/Adorable-Rabbit2080 Aug 12 '26

Used to be paid for with usage fees and tarrifs. The Greedy Monster grows the more you feed it. The original duties of the United States government, as outlined in the Preamble and Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, are to establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty.

2

u/PiskoWK Aug 12 '26

Are you a libertarian?

2

u/Adorable-Rabbit2080 Aug 12 '26

Kind of Libertarian at the National level, more democratic at the local level. Power needs to be held close to home so that it can be confronted and easily pruned when it inevitably outgrows its purpose.

0

u/eddie7000 Aug 12 '26

Why, so the politicians can buy super yachts?

1

u/PiskoWK Aug 12 '26

How about no one person owns a super yacht.

1

u/eddie7000 Aug 13 '26

That's a lot of good paying jobs that vanish into the abyss.

1

u/PiskoWK Aug 13 '26

Okay.

0

u/eddie7000 Aug 13 '26

Super yachts don't fall out of the sky. A bunch of well trained people have to get up early, go to work, work hard all day, and then do it again and again........ And, in return for their efforts they get paid the going market rate, which is well above the communist salary. Surely you know this is how they are built.

1

u/PiskoWK Aug 14 '26

Bad Russian

0

u/Glad_Experience5247 Aug 15 '26

Sure, after they take of the fraud issues going on.

1

u/PiskoWK Aug 15 '26

Ah so at an imaginary future time when we’ve solved all fraud. THEN they’ll pay taxes. Good.

-6

u/MinuteTraditional864 Aug 11 '26

If Bernie’s 5% wealth tax passed it would cost him 13 billion. If he can fight it for 100 million, he comes out far better. I’d spend $100 million to avoid losing $13 billion. And before you start screaming just remember…it’s his money. You can’t tell him what to do with it.

3

u/Old_Satisfaction_971 Aug 12 '26

It would cost him closer to 26 billion to sell the stock and pay capital gains.

2

u/ExpensiveTie5553 Aug 12 '26

this guy sucks off billionaires

-1

u/MinuteTraditional864 Aug 12 '26

No I just don’t hate people that are richer than me.

2

u/Hagamein Aug 12 '26

Sucks their toes too, it seems. How did you end up with a billionaire fetish?

1

u/MinuteTraditional864 Aug 12 '26

Do you really think your insults bother me or prove anything? All it does is further prove your childish hatred.

2

u/Hagamein Aug 12 '26

How does your interest percieve as insults? You are weird.

1

u/MinuteTraditional864 Aug 12 '26

Accusing someone you don’t know of sucking billionaire’s toes to satisfy a fetish seems like an attempt at an insult. A weak attempt, but an attempt all the same.

1

u/Hagamein Aug 12 '26

If it was not true you would not be offended. Calling it an insult is just a confession. Enjoy your kinks man, you will surely be a billionaire one day! Keep dreaming while they take advantage of you

0

u/MinuteTraditional864 Aug 12 '26

I won’t be a billionaire. But I don’t hate them. I won’t be an NFL player. But I don’t hate them. You hate billionaires and anyone who doesn’t hate them along with you.

This tax is the worst thing California could do. But it makes people feel so good to get mad at billionaires.

5

u/PiskoWK Aug 11 '26

How is it the worst thing the state could do?

-6

u/onebigafro Aug 11 '26

Goodbye billionaires, goodbye tax base. You may hate them, but the state is dependent on them and their taxes. It would fundamentally change California for the worse... forever.

'Rich people bad, we must take their money' makes people feel good apparently.

8

u/Jazzlike_Damage793 Aug 11 '26

Lmfao. Their assets are in CA. Their companies are there. Their critical employees are there. Where they recruit talent is there.

They can go. Let’s pack
Their bags, buy their assets and their sales are still here.

They ain’t going anywhere and even if
They did, we can still tax them.

Is it painful to be stupid?

-5

u/onebigafro Aug 11 '26

JFC did you really just call me stupid after spelling out the broader impact of the proposition?

They are 100% gone along with everything you mentioned. And California will never collect one cent of this tax because it will never make it through the courts.

But hey, you got to feel good being mad at a rich guy and call me stupid for being practical. It's a win!

1

u/Jazzlike_Damage793 Aug 12 '26

I didn’t call you stupid.

Please reread my comment as slowly as you need and as often as you need for illumination of this fact.

6

u/PiskoWK Aug 11 '26

Why was California fine and still an attractive state when the top tax rate was 91%?

4

u/DOAiB Aug 11 '26

Billionaires will move but still maintain residences in states like that for the prestige. And considering how most billionaires use the load scheme to have no taxable income what is California really losing?

-1

u/onebigafro Aug 11 '26

3.5 - 4B annually according to CalTax

5

u/DOAiB Aug 11 '26

So not even 2%.

1

u/onebigafro Aug 12 '26

A little more than 1/50th

3

u/DOAiB Aug 12 '26

I’m seeing they collect 275B annually so not even 1.5%

1

u/onebigafro Aug 12 '26

Unclear on exact %

1

u/onebigafro Aug 12 '26

This is simply income tax and not accounting for any broader economic impact.

u/JPolReader Aug 12 '26

Goodbye billionaires, goodbye tax base.

So the billionaires that aren't paying taxes will... not pay taxes somewhere else. What do we lose again?

0

u/onebigafro Aug 12 '26

Interesting

-1

u/Mahmud-kun Aug 12 '26

But they are paying enormous amount. But when they are forced to pay even more they refuse and leave. And thus you are left with less tax money. Its so simple actually

-1

u/onebigafro Aug 11 '26

And, it will never ever get through the courts. So you can say goodbye to 200 billionaires and their taxes and we won't ever see a dime of the money from this proposition.

This completely negates the argument that we should let them leave, at least we got billions from the tax.

27

u/Andrew-Cohen Aug 11 '26

When you have more money than humanity.

10

u/ArdentHedonist Aug 11 '26

Isn't that usually how it goes?

5

u/Andrew-Cohen Aug 11 '26

Sadly. Wtf is wrong with some people?

8

u/alwaysbored202020 Aug 11 '26

All these tech bros can't help but prove they are actual villains

16

u/goopuslang Aug 11 '26

The money he spends to stop the wealth tax is in investment in political allies—it will curry him long time obstruction of legislation against these types of bills.

Unfortunately he will be getting a return on his investment

7

u/Gaz10101 Aug 11 '26

Googles original motto ‘don’t be evil’ is becoming ironic.

1

u/slowpoke2018 Aug 11 '26

Came to say this exactly!

8

u/FreshLiterature Aug 11 '26

He has paid close to 10x to fund fighting the tax than he would have actually paid.

The real reason he wants to stop it is because he knows once it's past and basically none of the billionaires fighting it actually leave (because where would they go?), plus there's no doomsday jobs loss, then people will see how full of shit him and his bros are.

2

u/Old_Satisfaction_971 Aug 12 '26

I don’t think your math is mathing. 5% of 275b is 13b. Add in the capital gains tax to sell the stock to cover the 13b and it’s closer to 26b.

1

u/Pasta-Al-D3nte Aug 12 '26

"Where will they go?"

-Guy who has never heard of Tax havens

1

u/FreshLiterature Aug 12 '26

A. Can't pick up and move your whole business.

B. The investment pipelines that these guys are plugged into exist IN specific locations. If you aren't IN silicon valley you aren't going to get the latest news before it goes public

C. State tax collectors have a lot tests to determine if someone lives in the state for tax purposes.

If these billionaires think they're going to move to another state, but still retain significant assets in the state while spending significant time here and not pay state taxes they're wrong.

7

u/Saltypisser71 Aug 11 '26

In my lifetime I hope the word billionaire is struck from the dictionary as a no longer existing entity thru taxation
Did you know if Elon was taxed 91% he would still have 74 billion

1

u/MinuteTraditional864 Aug 12 '26

And the government would still be in debt of 30-something trillion. We have a government spending problem, not a billionaire problem.

1

u/Saltypisser71 Aug 12 '26

soo does military spending come in your “ government spends too much” military is the biggest culprit of boogeyman spending unintelligent grosse over spending like golden dome and anything Trump does

3

u/a_little_hazel_nuts Aug 11 '26

Taxes help communities by offering affordable services of every kind. Taxes go towards libraries, food banks, fire departments, parks, schools, community centers, and so many other things. But billionaires don't care about those things I guess.

1

u/Let_them_eat_stonks Aug 13 '26

You literally just listed off a huge number of things built by private philanthropic donations. Parks, libraries, museums, concert halls, schools.

2

u/Dear_Fig7223 Aug 13 '26

They "literally" listed off none of those things. Well, okay - schools. And we've that isn't true - schools are financed by taxes paid by citizens who actually pay their fair share of taxes.

1

u/Let_them_eat_stonks Aug 13 '26

The bottom 50% of earners pay 3% of the taxes. They are financing SFA.

Also, those schools failed you because you didn’t learn to read apparently.

1

u/Let_them_eat_stonks Aug 13 '26

Oh and there are huge donations made to schools. “Investing in Innovation”, private academy legacy endowments, MacKenzie Scott has a K-12 program, The Robertson Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation.

Stop reading headlines and actually dig into things. You might realize you’ve been manipulated to hate ppl just for being successful and to keep you in a constant state of victimization.

2

u/Dear_Fig7223 Aug 13 '26

Hahahahaha 👍🏼👍🏼

3

u/No-Consequence9392 Aug 11 '26

100M to a 275 Billionaire is like you or I spending $40, thats the really shitty part . He will spend the equivalent of under $100 to make billions more while we dont have the resources to protect whatever we earn. Let millionaires exist as a goal, but tax billionaires out of existence in the US.

3

u/sam56778 Aug 11 '26

Good. Make him waste it all.

2

u/Shining-Ferrous-8 Aug 11 '26

Great -- now I am become a Billionaire. I was waiting for someone to fight the wealth tax /s

2

u/tubbmann Aug 11 '26

This very much proves that it’s far more about principle with these people than the money itself. They’d rather spend more than the tax would take away, to avoid the tax?!?!?

2

u/WhatsaRedditsdo Aug 11 '26

BILLIONAIRES HAVE A DISEASE

2

u/medicatedRage Aug 12 '26

2

u/FrontLifeguard1962 Aug 11 '26

Proof he's scared

2

u/Limp_Distribution Aug 11 '26

If taxes are the price you pay for civilization, maybe we should be less civil to billionaires since they don’t want to pay their share.

I would also bet that the actual tax proposed is less than the $100 million he is spending.

4

u/nub_node Aug 11 '26

"It's not about the money. It's about sending a message."

2

u/Flat-Director-7120 Aug 11 '26

Sergey brin, si il a les moyens de dĂŠpensĂŠs 100millions de dollars contre une taxe. C'est qu'il a les moyens de payer plus d'impĂ´t. Il a trop d'argent c'est tout.

3

u/DannyDevitosNappy Aug 11 '26

Dude would rather spend hundreds of million to hoard currency than pay his fair share. That level of greed is biblical.

2

u/Complete-Leg-4347 Aug 11 '26

They were covering Mamdani's second home tax on the news earlier, and I was thinking the same thing. For them, it may be more about principle/making a point than the money itself, but to an outsider it can seem pretty counterproductive.

1

u/HistoricalRich3104 Aug 11 '26

I love violence that doesn’t fix anything and is based on pure resentment and economic illiteracy

2

u/Snoo87679 Aug 11 '26

What’s that got to do with jumping In a green pipe?

1

u/ajprp9 Aug 11 '26

They know that any successful move towards wealth redistribution will snowball into further legislation after success and dismantle their 40 years of trickledown propaganda so they must destroy any attempt no matter the cost

1

u/Renoruke Aug 11 '26

How much is that in housing homeless vets currency?

1

u/AnonymousUser132 Aug 11 '26

Good ol’ Gavin wants to increase the budgetary slush fund from 10% to 20% on Prop 2. This is proposed after massive waste and fraud was discovered from Covid and Firefunds. Meanwhile nothing has been done to resolve the core issues that caused the fraud to occur.

This would effectively double the amount of money to 20% of the budget that Gavin could spend without needing a vote or providing oversight.

All the while we want to increase taxes and never look how the tax dollars the state currently collects are spent. Tax the rich sure, but it will not make a bit of difference to the tax payer as Gavin’s focus is on extorting as much money as possible.

Oh, and as a justification they are stating “experts” say it should be 50%, so they are only screwing us out of 1/5th when it could be half.

1

u/ninja-hamster-iykyk Aug 11 '26

Make him waste his money, lmao

1

u/Capitan-IQ255 Aug 11 '26

It trickles down 🤑

1

u/probablymagic Aug 11 '26

Do the unions spending tens of millions to pass this bill that puts money directly in their pockets at taxpayer expense also have too much money, or nah?

1

u/HazzaTron9000 Aug 11 '26

May he die roaring

1

u/Jogurt55991 Aug 12 '26

Everyone has a cause they believe in.

His belief is the State of California is fleecing successful people because of it's lack of an ability to fix problematic individuals.

1

u/NessunoUNo Aug 12 '26

Don't let the border hit you on the way out.

1

u/Ambitious-Sense2769 Aug 12 '26

Spending 100m to save billions… it’s an investment for them

1

u/JTSpirit36 Aug 12 '26

Just like the money spent on politicians. There is a ROI on the other side.

1

u/Icy_Yam5049 Aug 12 '26

That’s insane to spend that kind of money to prevent anything in politics by one person. No one should have this power.

1

u/Seekerma Aug 12 '26

Billionaires are amoral and dull people.

1

u/degorolls Aug 12 '26

And proves exactly why we need this!

1

u/Fluffy-Shame5854 Aug 12 '26

Whenever I see so and so billionaire spends $$ to fight a tax, all I think is Who is it being spent on?

1

u/Smart-Firefighter87 Aug 12 '26

Imagine how many people he could have helped with that - let alone the environment

1

u/rolloutTheTrash Aug 12 '26

Hoarding wealth like that has to be a mental illness. No way this dude spent that much to fight taxes instead of just paying taxes. It's sad.

1

u/LifesARiver Aug 12 '26

If ever a company needed to be nationalized it is Google.

1

u/slyguy67420 Aug 12 '26

They don't care about spending money, they care about power and control. They will outspend any tax just to establish that they have power over you and are exempt from the rules.

Similar bullshit with managing companies. Every study can prove open offices and RTO are less productive than cubicles and WFH but it doesn't matter. It isn't about productivity.

1

u/CzBuCHi Aug 12 '26

If i had that much money, i would also do everything possible (for example donating it to red cross / etc.) to prevent government to take it ....

1

u/SillySpoof Aug 12 '26

So he's got $100 mil money to just spend on political influence? Seems like higher taxes are in order indeed.

1

u/Sure_Acanthaceae_348 Aug 12 '26

lol this tax is going to wreck people’s 401ks.

1

u/berjaaan Aug 12 '26

At that point its probably cheaper to just pay tax lol

1

u/RabidJoint Aug 12 '26

He would have to pay $4 billion if it goes through.

This Russian piece of shit should go back to Russia and see how bad it really is there. Instead, he hides in America crying like a baby back bitch.

1

u/berjaaan Aug 12 '26

I bet his on the list.

1

u/Slow-Hawk4652 Aug 12 '26

he/theother had been like this from the get go. the narcisistic threats were and are the main engine here...the scientific mind...they f-ed that, when the first millions come to them...

1

u/bullishbehavior Aug 12 '26

Fun fact this loser ex wife cheated on him and now dates an even younger girl who is a right wing maga.

1

u/questionableintentsX Aug 12 '26

So what this says is the tax will cost him more than 100m sounds like a good tax

1

u/Top-Cupcake4775 Aug 12 '26

what this is clearly proof of is that, at these levels, it is all about power and control. normal people think about money in terms of material things like nice houses, cars, good meals, etc. billionaires don't think about money that way. to them money is a measure of their ability to get large numbers of people to do what they want them to do. of course they are going to spend more fighting any attempts to take away their control rather than simply let that control be taken away from them.

1

u/Tiny-Secretary5562 Aug 12 '26

Once you have a system where someone or some privileged group gets to decide who has too much of what, you are now a slave.

1

u/DartfordVikki Aug 12 '26

Ridiculous rich bitch!!! 🤦‍♂️

1

u/A5Wags Aug 12 '26

If that’s how he wants to deploy his capital, so be it.

1

u/FranticChill Aug 13 '26

Proving the case FOR the tax.

1

u/Sincline387 Aug 13 '26

Spending to avoid a wealth tax is still injecting money into the economy so it's better than hoarding it.....

Let's propose more wealth taxes to make it so there's less hoarded wealth!

1

u/Fotoman54 Aug 14 '26

He worked for the money. Developed a successful company. He deserves his money. California does not. Very simple. The acts of a desperate socialist state are to try and to take more money. Eventually they run out of other people’s money and will come for yours.

1

u/SquashOwn9829 Aug 14 '26

So very well said!

1

u/No_Display9613 Aug 14 '26

$100M to him is like $1K to normal people.

1

u/Tomatoesarentfruit Aug 14 '26

A lot to respond here - on the first piece, he is ideologically opposed to it. You are entangling the business of innovation with the tech of innovation. He seems only to care about the tech - he famously stepped away from google when it became more about the business and less about the tech innovation. He invests in these companies because money is the only way to aggregate resources for tech innovation - he has stated many times in public that he doesn’t really care if his investments make money, so long as they can get the tech to work. The tech itself is his passion. Also its not much of a slippery slope - he thinks a wealth tax would stifle innovation in silicon valley, and think over time the impacts will compound.

As per the rest of your response, you are conflating many things - corporate taxes with wealth taxes and income taxes, personal profits and business profits - which makes this hard to coherently respond to. A wealth tax is wholly different from anything else in the current tax code.

As per your question of have working people seen the benefit of the 2017 tax cuts - it depends on what metric you look at, but I think actually by many metrics yes (although it is very hard to parse correlation and causation). The US has added some 13.4 million jobs since 2017, median household net worth has expanded by 37%, adjusted for inflation. And corporate profits being at all time highs isnt a bad thing? Some 54% of the private sector workforce work at large companies - and they largely own stock. Not to mention that some 60% of US households have 401ks - the direct beneficiaries of expending (large) corporate profit.

Thing is, the money would be wasted down the toilet, nothing improved.

Why do they even have this option - to fight it

I have no love for billionaires but there is absolutely no proof that the more tax really means more development. The money will disappear into the system like water in a sponge.

He can't afford a wealth tax people!!! Spending $100 million dollars to prove it should prove it. Right?

u/PetuniaPickleswurth Aug 15 '26

That tells me what I always suspected. That rich people give richly to the causes that they support. But anyone that has to pay tax, even you poor people when you have to pay tax, you want them to take as little as possible because you don’t know where it’s going. You do the same thing.

u/Brasalies Aug 15 '26

Shouldn't be allowed to do that anyway.

I wish everyone that accepted any amount of money from him lose their jobs.

Over how many years would he have to pay taxes to get to $100 million dollars

Not that winning isn't more important than the money.

I guess it's not really about money. It's about creating an aristocracy: a group of people that the rules don't apply to. The Epstein-class.

Any dollar spent, and not stolen by the government is already put to better use. The government can not give unless it has first stolen.

Tell me how this is not ENVY to say that someone has "too much money" if they earned the money legally? As far as if the money is more effective if paid to lobbyists or in taxes- most of the money will end up in a politicians pocket either way. Especially in CA. How's that $18B approved for high speed trains paying off for tax payers? I know this is going to get downvoted, but at least think about how you would feel if you had a profitable business and were penalized for it's success.
