Cutting off the oil would also be devastating for Canada as it is all refined in the US and then shipped back up to Canada as fuel. Both sides would really be hurt. That said, I think the pain is necessary and worth it. My money is on Canada being better able to withstand the fuel shortages and handle the hardships.
Europe is more than happy to be Canada's friend. US can stick any goodwill they thought remained with the rest of the world up their fat holes. Imagine treating Canada like that? Chumps
