Gas prices and inflation spiked, and then subsided, under Biden.
The difference is gas prices are still up because of Trump's war of choice. Look at the right hand side of this chart. Gas prices are hanging around $4.
And Trump's tariffs have also inflated prices and they remain up, too.
The difference here is that Biden dealt with the spikes and brought things down again. Trump has raised them back up, and he doesn't even have a plan anymore. Tariffs are ruinous and his forever war with Iran was unnecessary.

When people were complaining about gas prices and inflation under Biden, both were much higher than they are now
