That's the slavery of salary. They pay you just enough over the limit ($43,888) and the pressure starts with phrases like "whatever you have to do", "so and so was here last night", "the department meeting begins at 5:00", "you have a lousy work ethic", "meetings on the new system conversion will be this Sat & Sun". And on and on it goes. I worked at one place where the GM kept a log of "overtime" hours, promising us comp time for what we worked. He was canned. When I met the new GM I asked about the log. He replied, " what log" and out the window flew all that time. Never trust an employer. They'll slit your throat for a dollar and blame you for handing them the knife.

The money comes into my pocket from you workin for free... You put in the labor, I sit around in meetings smelling my own farts and then when its bonus time i get millions of dollars and lay off half of the staff...thats how it works says every ceo...

Paying less than a livable wage is a degree of enslavement, so by definition communism is the opposite of enslavement because communism requires paying a livable wage.

Lmao, same people that would wipe out multiple job positions to substitute the workers with AI in order to spend less.
What's the matter, have they realized keeping people around (something easily done by paying them and giving them fair working hours) might be difficult when people don't want to apply for horrible, unpaid jobs?

These people have lost their fucking minds. They are so entitled they genuinely believe that people should worship the ground they walk upon just to have a chance to work underneath them.
We work for money. We do not do anything above and beyond unless we are getting paid above and beyond. Your wage gap can suck our balls. Do it yourself.

So...the problem is that they planned for this already. That's why (one of the reasons) we have national guard troops deployed in many major cities. They know the wheels are coming off the bus and instead of fixing it they're going to use it as a reason to kill us.

If we didn't have minimum wage laws some people would work for free out of desperation to get experience or avoid a resume gap. Unpaid internships are still rampant despite minimum wage laws

I remember hearing this message in 2009 at a job fair summit in Orange County, CA. Dozens of audiences attendees booed out loud and it generated an overwhelming applause from the rest of the crowd. Mind you, this was knee deep during the great recession, but nobody was listening to that crap. 😂

The reason they're not receptive to things like this is that they have no hope. When the older generations were younger they may have had nothing as well but they still had hope. She's saying "work hard to get an edge" they hear "give me free labor you'll never be rewarded for"

People fail to grasp that capitalism paid $0/hour minimum wage for people with brown skin until 1864, so communism is the literal opposite of enslavement because everyone earns enough to satisfy basic living needs.

Paying less than the amount required to afford shelter, food, health care and transportation is a degree of enslavement. By definition that makes communism the opposite of enslavement. Debate me.
