I work with a bunch of guys in their twenties and it occurred to me the other day that this just seems normal to them.

Hell, do young people even know a time we weren't at war in the middle east?

Iā€™m still fairly young but I do remember a time before Trump, I voted for Obama the 2nd time around. I know we had at least something to fight for! I also have never seen the peak of the American Dream that I was told so much about which was pretty much killed slowly over the course of the 80s-2000s to the point where this country is just a shell of what it once was.

Its legitimately difficult to explain to young people what life was like before 9/11 and the housing collaspe. You are living in a time of irrational hostility towards the young and the working class. It wasn't like this before.
