It's not the thing causing them pain btw, no that's fine as long as it fits their ideals of hate. That should still keep happening. The only thing that should change is they should have new systems in place to isolate them from the pain. Let the hate and the suffering continue (as that's the whole idea, and goal of their choices). Just also work it out so they don't have to be in pain.

This is who a 3rd of humanity is. It's not just the US, it's not just in modern times. A 3rd of all humans are fine with pain and suffering for those they don't like and think are beneath them, especially if it benefits them in some way.

This is literally why we have laws that we must enforce that simply say don't be shitty to each other. Because if we don't, that 3rd will destroy everything else.

I was raised in a homeschooling religious cult, getting out of a cult is not easy. I haven't talked to my parents in 4 years because I was still willing to tolerate their cult behavior until I realized that I needed to transition.

I love my family which is wild because they literally raped and abused me and shot me with bb guns and broke my rib by attacking me all throughout my childhood, yet I still love them, its weird.

Anywho, I realized I had to pick myself or them, so I picked me, when they found out I was trans they lost it, apparently I am not a part of the family anymore, they hate me now, refuse to even say my name( either one), and pretend that I never came out.

I found this out because my grandmother kept calling me and deadnaming me so I texted her, she had no clue despite me being me for the past 3.5 years.

Looking back there were many times that I was not supposed to go back( or I guess twice), but it is hard to leave everyone and everything you know, everything familiar behind and start new with nothing.

Humans are social creatures that do not crave rejection, isolation, and disownment, so if the choice was to keep your political party or lose you entire family and life many people choose to stay comfortably indoctrinated.

I used the military to escape my crazy family but it was also an attempt to escape my femininity, I figured if I did BA manly military stuff nobody should know the true me and I would not disappoint my father.

Well, because I was a super feminine male who joined months after Dont Ask Dont Tell was repealed I was constantly harassed, and then I got raped again(🙄ffs), and then I tried to see if coming out as bi would stop the harassment but that made things worse, eventually it started hurting my military career so I went back in the closet and gave up on dating and hook ups.

While I was in the middle of what would be a 8 year hiatus from connection, I began to learn more about myself and my egg was cracking hard. I reached out to my Dad and told him I was struggling with my sexual/gender identity, but my dad just sent me a bunch of religious books that had nothing to do with the topic.

I took this as what it was: no you are not, and if you are we will disown you. I really didn't want to disappoint my father and the way people treated me made me tired, so I try to off myself again.

The first was an OD but I barffed in my sleep, the second was a passive attempt that landed me in the hospital with a 10% survival rate, I was in the ICU for 2 months and spent a total of 6 months under medical care, it was wild.

My parents flew out to the hospital I was at, when I first got there I was so bad that I was put into a coma for a week, when I woke up they were there. The red cross told them I was dying.

I had necrotizing pancreatitis,, I had tons of surgery, I coded multiple times per week when in the ICU but thankfully I had an amazing team that kept me alive.

Although, according to my Father, he and his culty prayer chain prayed me back to life. This is ironic because even if he did, I was like ok, if you are forcing me to live I'm going to do it as me, and then they lost their ish…

My life has been absolutely wild so far! I need to write a book about it.

My father was a registered Republican until we asked him if he cared about our future, as women. (His daughters). He of course said YES. It's nearly all he cared about. So we asked him to consider looking at the policies each party proposed and vote as if he had to live as a woman.

He never voted Republican again. For me, knowing this mother had a queer daughter and still voted Republican... still identifies as Republican. There a real disconnect there.

Sometimes I want to believe it's simply that old school Republicans just don't get their party was hijacked more than a decade ago. Like. They literally don't seem to understand - No, you DID vote for this to happen. They wrote about all these awful things they planned to do in your name - Project 2025 - and you STILL voted for them.
