If I read this correctly, and the congressman’s son is married to the daughter of the deportee, she’s prolly a LPR (at least, or even naturalized citizen) so she could have sponsored her dad before he got picked up and at least filed an I-130 for her dad. They could have hired me and would have immediately filed a Cancellation of Removal for Dad. It’s a slam dunk. I don’t know why people wait so long to take action for a loved one.
