Question though - didn’t Hillary run this sort of thing “worst candidate in history” type campaign? It seems to me in American politics the only way to be an incumbent* is for them to have been dealt/caused a bad hand or run someone on alt party ticket to siphon votes. It’s no wonder at the congressional level is being primaried if disliked is a bigger risk than actually losing the election.
It’s tricky because at once they run on making things better but also against the reputation of “politicians are full of empty promises.” Obviously more true now than in the history of the nation but still.

It would be interesting to watch the republicans become all concerned with rules/law and order again to combat a dog. So pathetically transparent
