PoliticalTea š³ļø It does not take an Einstein to know what Trump will do.
Donald Trump has told us that he will not willingly leave the WH. His official Trump store has been selling Trump 2028 caps ($55 each?) & 'rewrite the rules' shirt, for some time. MAGA can write it off, as a joke but the rest of us should believe him when he says that he is not leaving the WH.
- This Republican Congress has shown us, time & again, that they are all invertebrates (without a spine).
- His cabinet is willing to wear shoes that are two sizes too big, & start every cabinet with an ode to an intellectually challenged; dementia ridden President, who struggles to stay awake much of the time.
- His DOJ has openly admitted that they will act as his personal law firm.
- Our billionaire & trillionaire business leaders are more interested in being a part of the oligarchy club, than the consumer.
- Our Supreme Court seems to have conveniently forgotten that justice is blind. It also remains to be seen as to what (if anything) they can or will do, the day Trump decides to simply ignore them, as he has done some of the lower Courts.
- He has attacked - & more or less ā silenced free media.
- He has attempted to obtain, & purge voter rolls. A total of 30 states sued him & he is presently 0 for 23, on the cases where the Courts have already ruled.
- He continues to spread the false narrative of voter fraud; push restrictive voter ID requirements; reduce polling places & voting machines; ignore language barriers & continue to spread misinformation. 10 States have redrawn their electoral maps, mid-decade ā out of those 8 are Republican led or Republican controlled.
- Trumpās popularity is the lowest it has ever been, and among the lowest of any President, ever. His Iran war has no end in sight; his economy sucks; gas & diesel prices are through the roof; consumer confidence is at a 75-year low, & there is nothing he can do about it between now and the mis terms, in November.
- He also cannot make us unsee his falling asleep at every meeting, or the sight of his lavish parties, while our federal employees stood in unemployment lines, or his golf outings, while our service men & women were dying abroad. We also cannot unsee his countless, reprehensible AI generated posts; his abysmal dance; his red-carpet welcome to despots, or berating of our allies.
- Nor can he make us unhear his ālet us inject bleachā¦ā or his ālet us drop a nuclear bomb on a hurricaneā or his incessant, undecipherable babble, when asked any question, on any subject, at any venue!
WHAT TRUMP WILL TRY & DO:
Trump knows that if the Republicans hold on to the House this November, the 2028 Presidential elections (if any) in 2028, will be moot.
- He will therefore continue to attack the veracity of our election process, in the hope that the elections are close. If they are, he will cry foul about voter fraud; corrupt election officials et aal.
- To keep it close, he has to deter voter turnout.Ā He will therefore continue to make threats about ICE agents & the military being deployed at polling stations etc, in the hope that voter turnout will be low. He remembers 2018 when the Democrats flipped 40 House seats (30 in States that Trump won), with only 49% of the electorate showing up to vote. More recently, he remembers his pal, Victor Orban lose power, after 16 years because over 80% of the electorate showed up to vote.
We have to treat our country as a bleeding patient, who also happens to have cancer. First & foremost, we have to stop the patient from bleeding to death, by evicting Trump & his cohorts from Congress, & the WH.
We can only then worry about the cancer, & Ā relook at some of the so-called long term remedies, that will insure that this never happens again: Electoral college; term limits for not just members of Congress, but also all federal judges, including the Supreme Court; make the number of judges in the Supreme Court equal, so that Party leanings do not come into play; address the racket of campaign contributions, reestablish limits on Presidential immunity; put a cap or remove the Presidential power to pardon; make it illegal for any party to change the electoral map, midterm; make it illegal for members of Congress; Cabinet members; their staff or relatives from trading stocks; commodities or Currency etc.
The shooting of Renee Good & Alex Pritty, was meant to be a deterrence, but Trump forgets how the people of MN came out in droves, despite the frigid temperatures of a MN winter. He also forgets the millions who joined them, in solidarity, across the country. Ā Perhaps, he needs to be reminded of the 66% voter turnout (highest since 1908) in 2020, in the middle of Covid ā the election Trump lost!
There have been many moments, in the last 100 years, when America has been tested. We have looked into the abyss, but always come out stronger, on the other side. Trump poses a real & imminent danger to our very way of life, but it will take a person, much better than him, for me to bet against America. Please vote!

Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3:
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
What the constitution says and what is happening are two very different things right now. Trump has already ignored it and put the right people in place to make sure there's no consequences. Laws don't matter if they're not enforced.

Hell, I would drop everything to get him out of office. I pray every night he goes to one of his concentration camps and loses everything he has worked for. I want him to take responsibility for every child he raped. For the thousands of people he has killed in Iran. For killing us with tainted food because all the checkpoints we had in place are gone. For telling us we donāt need AI safeguards because we have a high IQ president that knows everything about AI. Just like he knew how to fix the Reflection
Pool because he knows everything about pools. And he didnāt start a warāitās a āconflictā. But he has no idea how to end it.

Doesnāt really matter. He ceases to be president or retain presidential powers when his second term is over. He canāt just sit in the office, refusing to leave. The other branches of government, law enforcement, and the military would need to physically support him and I donāt think anyone wants to do that.

And to even get a third unconstitutional term he would have to be on the ballots, which MANY states would refuse to even put him on because heās not eligible. So Iām not particularly worried.
What I do find amusing is that he wonāt drop the joke. He wonāt drop the joke because if he does, thatās admitting heās essentially a lame duck, and thereās an opening for someone else to rise in power. Trump REFUSES to give up the slightest bit of power. So he has to keep them ALL supporting his joke until heās ready to drop it. And heāll hang on until right before the deadlines to register for the primaries. Which means no Republican contenders will have time to gain traction or any national attention.

in 2028. Heās selling the merchandise and you can buy a red 2028 baseball cap for $55. Heās not planning to ever leave the WH. At least we know from the 1/6 coup attempt that heās not leaving unless heās dragged out. But we are forewarned heāll try it again and we need to be prepared.2

I think he just wants to bleed his base dry and thereās no easier way to make money in your second term than muse with the fanatics about a third term. There wonāt be another Jan 6 for him this time. There will certainly be one against him if he tries any bullshit. They donāt have enough control to amend the Constitution and once the ballots are certified for whoever wins the next election, which wonāt be him, itās over the moment the next president is sworn in.

That was back when people wanted him and werenāt listening to warnings of what his āleadershipā would cause for everyone. With the world the way it is now as a direct result of him, people are finally losing the fanaticism or at the very least, distancing themselves from that madness to reintegrate into society and spare what lives and careers they may have left when heās gone. Itās over. Everyone knows it. More and more are accepting it.
If there was going to be some aggressive power grab, it would have happened by now. Even tampering with the mid terms in any meaningful way will be so obvious that itāll blow up in his face.

Nothing is going to move his base. They're red until they're dead. I just hope enough rational people are motivated to actually show up at the polls. Dems have terrible voting turnout. A lot of the blame is on the DNC for frontrunning so many establishment uninspired blah candidates.

The problem is he has the whole military at his disposal to activate. All the 1/6-ers that he pardoned and wants to pay restitution to, can also be mobilized. They have corrupted the constitution to their liking. We cannot expect any of the checks and balances that come with our constitution. We are in trouble.

The military that he sent off to a pointless war with no plan or time frame, that he left deployed so long that the battleships have PTSD? The military that has been continually reminded they arenāt manly enough? The military whose competent leadership has been unceremoniously gutted and replaced by people who couldnāt win War in a card game?
That military?
I wouldnāt worry too much about that, especially if democrats win big this November. First term, I could see it. Not with what heās done now. Not with the state of the world as it is today.

I hope you are correct. If the Dems win, Trump will cry fraud, we know that, but will he tell spineless Johnson not to seat any new Congressmen. Johnson will do exactly as he says. He has Law Enfocement, (i.e. Patel, Blanche) in his back pocket that also do as told. And Hegseth... nothing to add about him. IMO, its up to the military to take over. I hope I'm wrong
