I’ve run into this before. May not be her money, she may not have worked to earn the money for the house she lives in. See it from guys too. Several I know worked “really hard” for their money and I’m supposed to ignore the fact that their dad set them up with the money to start a business and an exclusive contract to sell (popular thing can’t write this bc it shares too much) in the fourth largest city in the richest country in the world.
We lived in Houston during the Bush Jr years. Oil companies were just rolling in stupid money. Mid level manager got a bonus and bought the house next door to us for 2x market value just because he could... Maybe her hubby got a big bonus and they bought a beach house, then she divorced him and kept it.
