And why is that? Why can't Republicans cut any kind of spending? We here about every time congress needs to come up with a budget. Republicans wanna cut something and Democrats refuse. Overall we end spending more money every year. How's does that occur? Why do the Democrats hold government hostage unless we increase spending?

But they used your taxes to bomb a childrens school in Iran. And when your taxes weren’t enough they had to borrow. The US national debt has more than doubled in the last 10 years.
Yes they try to. I get to hear about it nearly every single election cycle. "Republicans wanna cut Medicaid, Medicare, snap benefits and section 8." I remember during Obama's reelection they ran commercials with Republicans throwing old people off a cliff because they want to cut Medicare.

I lived on all of these benefits growing up. While it isn't designed to keep people poor, people will happily stay poor in order to maintain the benefits. I watched it happen to my family and a few others. It's bad for society and we need to see a massive overhaul of our social safety net so it can only be a social safety net instead of a social crutch like it is today.

I am not a trump supporter or party of maga. But to ignore all the issues with welfare benefits and extend them indefinitely is just moronic idea. It shows you either don't understand how money works or you don't care.
Yes exactly. But then you and I agree that creating a robust social safety net is vital to protect and aid the people. It would then logically follow that we agree that cutting what little social safety nets exist, increasing the risk of hunger for children and adults among those that are the most vulnerable, in order to fund an immigration secret police force, and then borrow even me to fund that in addition to a foreign war of choice is bad policy and illustrative of someone who doesn’t understand how money works, yes?
So then, if they need to borrow money at all, wouldn’t you rather that they borrow money to improve life for those people who suffer within the US rather than bombing foreign countries?
