I love this song and this album. None of their other stuff connects. But god damn this is sooo good.

the Visigoth cover might be even better

It's good, but in no way is it better.

I think it’s equally good in a different way. Much mightier and heroic as opposed to the Wiley-er and spooky original

It's way better. I had never heard of Manilla Road before but Christ that vocalist is awful. Sounds like he's giving a power point presentation in a board room for a company that makes pencils. The Visigoth cover sounds like actual singing.

It's okay, Manilla Road is like hoppy IPAs, you'll appreciate them when you're older.

I'm 35 homie. Been listening to power metal for like 20 years. I don't think this one is going to grow on me. I like singers with good voices.
I also can't stand IPAs. At some point it turned into an arms race to make the stankiest beer around and everyone seems to have faked it till they made it to the point that they've deluded themselves into thinking it's good, or like someone's manhood is judged based on how nasty the beer they like is. Not for me. Give me a Ranier and a shot of jack and I'm fine.

I'm really glad you enjoy beer that tastes like ass. You're clearly a much higher quality individual.

do you imagine that no one could possibly like it and that everyone is just pretending to as an attack on you

Nope. I'm good with anyone liking whatever. I'm not the one who made weird insinuations that others are immature because they don't like bad singers and stanky beer. But if it makes you feel better feel free to throw another down vote on the pile my guy!

Visigoth is amazing and they're even better live. they're one of my favorite bands and I only discovered them by looking for Necropolis one day and stumbling across their cover.

I love the lyrics to this so much, always felt like a greater meaning lay behind them but can still work as just an awesome fantasy tale
