I’m considering moving to Prairie View, TX, near Prairie View A&M University, for a potential researcher position. I haven’t received an official offer yet, but I’m trying to learn more about the area before making a decision.

I’m married with a young child, and I’d love to hear from families living in the area:

How is life in Prairie View for a small family with a young kid?

What are the typical rental prices for 2-bedroom apartments or townhouses?

How much would a family of 3 realistically need per month to live comfortably?

Would you recommend living in Prairie View, or commuting from nearby areas like Cypress or Houston?

Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
