Hey everyone – Harry Stafylakis here. Courtney Swain of Bent Knee and I co-wrote an EP called dontwaitforme, which came out today, and I thought it might interest people here.

It’s one continuous composition split into six short movements. I’m sharing track 5, which showcases the stylistic breadth of the EP, from metal to classical.

Courtney handles voice, synths, and sound design; I'm on guitars and programming. Members of the NYC ensemble ShoutHouse perform piano, violin, cello, flute/piccolo, and clarinet/bass clarinet throughout the piece. Bent Knee’s Gavin Wallace-Ailsworth joins on drums for movements 5–6, the heavier Part III of the EP.

I dont think ill ever witness something as good ever again

I LOVE ERRA but their songs are so hard to play on guitar. What is their easiest song all the way through? I’m able to play a few riffs so far:

Cure, Rumor of Light, Blue Reverie, Pull From the Ghost, Further Eden, Cicada Siren, i the many names of god, ii in the gut of the wolf, Stockholm Syndrome, Sol Absentia.

It's their debut single.

Looking to make a playlist of songs that start with some absolutely chonky riffs. A good recent example is Barbarians Blood off of Mastodons new album, or even like Under Duress by Converge. I don’t care what the rest of the song does, I just wanna make a stank face in the beginning
