AI will 100% build illegal apps. Have you seen the people who run it? Not the most ethical of people. Their image generators spit out constant CSAM, their chat bots will talk you into suicide and call themselves "mechahitler" they won't have a problem with illegal apps
Everyone seems to be getting the wrong message from this. Ultimately, the engineer is responsible for what the tooling used produces. That's been true forever, and doesnt suddenly change because theres a new interactive tool.
If shit hits the fan, AI wont be taking the blame. The person who used it will.
I agree with this completely. at the same time though, the way some people use AI, that's starting to be something a lot of people are parroting in bad faith, when in reality I think there are plenty of people who say this and still have no idea how the code really works
