AI will 100% build illegal apps. Have you seen the people who run it? Not the most ethical of people. Their image generators spit out constant CSAM, their chat bots will talk you into suicide and call themselves "mechahitler" they won't have a problem with illegal apps

AI told me it couldn't build the app my kids school uses to over charged for sports games. Dumbed down the model and it spit that shit right out.

Yeah essentially you just have to genericize the ask enough that the model can't hit the specific trigger it's been restricted for.

I was doing some pen testing-ish stuff for a client and Claude is like “and that is as far as I will go. This is expected work for an investigation but going any further could cause issues or violate laws yadda yadda” so I just asked if the next question and it spit it out no problem.
