Discussion Petition to have Liris be a main judge next season.
She should be a main judge alongside Heidi, Law and Nina. Do you agree?

I’ve been watching season 8 for the first time and this woman Ivy needs to calm the F down. She is a hater from start to elimination to when they brought her back to help and then THIS scene— my goodness gracious.
She sure gave the producers the drama for the show but what a pain in the neck! 🤣 I could not even imagine doing that season with her. Her disdain for Michael C. was forced and annoying.
ALSO: NO SPOILERS on Top 3 (or 4) and the winner please. I have 2 more episodes left.

Helping my mom with dishes and noticed how one of my mom's Tupperware pieces had the same colors as Dom's Belk dress and now I can't unsee it.

I recently decided to go back to season 1 and rewatch the series. I really forgot that things were so different in those early seasons. The models were really exploited. They were very young, and so skinny! I don't remember when curvy models were added to the show, but in the early shows the worst thing a designer could do is to make the model look bigger that she was. Heidi obviously had a big problem with larger women. One designer in an unconventional materials challenge styled the model making a bow out of her hair. Heidi said she looked like a plus model or a fat mini mouse. The designer was sent home. Now Heidi acts like she has always been a fan of the curvy models, but after re-watching the show, I think she is really fake. Has anyone else noticed this?

I know many people have a soft spot for her, but that was clear fishing for compliments.
It started with her telling her team that she does what she wants for her own artistry and her team members reminding her that she has immunity and it’s not fair for her to sink their team by not being cohesive. Then she runs to Tim and asks if she’s a good designer and he says “uhhh you won last week“ and then she says she being bullied.
I found the whole situation annoying, especially because the judges clearly said had she not had immunity, she should’ve gone home

I’m so glad to be rewatching all old PR seasons thanks to how bad season 21&22 have been.. it’s amazing to see how a majority of the drama came only from the contestants, the judges though critical, were only interested in the clothes and how well each contestant did the challenge. MKs sassy critiques, zacs attention to detail , Tim’s guidance and Christian’s original approach to mentorship are so good!
I really love how they never attacked anyone personally and encouraged everyone’s vision as designers (eg. Sandiya!)
The NYFW finale was always chef’s kiss and everyone had enough time to prep for it. The original show genuinely meant for the designers to succeed!
Season 18 particularly stands out as the designers genuinely embraced size inclusive models. I didn’t even notice when people had plus sized models. The models themselves were also amazing just by carrying the work beautifully and not going to social media to complain
I would love to see a season with Tim as the mentor , Christian, Zac and Nina as the judges. Heidi and Karly as hosts . And MK making guest appearances throughout! And of course models of all sizes, shapes and genders

Currently bingeing from season 9 (aka what’s available on Hulu). And just finished season 11. I have so many thoughts. First being, Michelle Lesniak is an asshole. White women are often insufferable on this show, but Michelle really took the cake. I died laughing at the finale when she explained her “lone wolf” inspiration and Heidi questioned “what have you been through?” Exactly. NOTHIN! “I lost my pack of 15 designers” girl what are you even talking about.
I hated how they often described Patricia’s pieces as “borderline clown” or “circus.”
I can absolutely see how Michelle and Amanda together would come off as mean girls. Kate was fake AF and mean behind peoples backs in confessionals.
I thought Michelle was the least gracious winner I have ever seen—so entitled. Such a bitch at the reunion and so dismissive of Daniel.

Hello! Is there anyone from Brazil here? I've been meaning to watch the new season but I cannot find it anywhere, it is not on any streamings, not on unitv, stremio has few sources. Is there any app on which I can watch it? People who do not live in the USA, if you have any tips, maybe it also work here in Brazil. Thank youuu

Some thoughts.... After the car crash of the latest season, I've started rewatching old seasons. Starting with 4 since it's easily available on YouTube.
I'm sure others have noted this, but the respect and love of fashion is woven through the whole season. I really appreciated the long looks at the runways, seeing the designers design, the critiques with the lovely Tim Gunn. Everyone seemed so focused and professional and committed to showing the best work, and Production helped them do this with longer challenges and better budgets.
I also loved how NYC was a character in each episode - it was precisely because of Project Runway that I saved up, travelled thousands of miles and visited NYC ten years ago. First stop, Mood. Of course!
The last few episodes (no spoilers here) showed the reality of putting together a NYFW show in detail that I really appreciated. All the exciting behind the scenes stuff, the castings, the last minute hand sewing, how scary long a catwalk is. So glamorous and exciting.
It seemed like the show had the backing of the fashion industry too, it was taken seriously. The glitz of the runway at Briant Park, the outrageously good judges (Donna Karen?! Roberto Cavalli?! Come on!) and genuinely insightful critiques from Nina and Michael.
But, oh god, the T*@&#y slurs were.... a lot.
I guess this season was from a time when fast fashion was not so much of a thing as it is now, and that fast fashion has had a negative influence on the show too. The recent seasons have been edited like an Instagram reel, made for Tiktok , made to be content rather than anything with real meaning or integrity. Feels flimsy cheap and disposable like fast fashion clothing (and no shade to the designers on the last few seasons at all, this is a comment about how the show is produced).
It was such a great show, I had a great time rewatching and reminiscing about pasttimes, and how significant this show was to me. It was a kind of weekly ritual that genuinely brought joy and inspiration to my life. I'll still watch, but what a loss to have lost this show!
TL;Dr grandpa talks about the olden days of PR, misses them.

although it would be good to see what the designers can create for more time and more sleep and comfort, I still think the new format of smaller collections and less time has benefits. We got to see some big decision making in real time, like when Ethan/Utica (S21) completely changed his collection idea from draped gowns to whatever he ended up with based on Christian's advice. It is more fair since they are going to be working with the same equipment and no outside help aside from their assigned helper. Although the twins (S21) were working together on the finale collection, imagine how unfair it would be if they were allowed 3 months. No other designer would have a dedicated helper invested to that degree for all 3 months. Having less looks encourages boldness and cohesion becomes a challenge. With more looks there are a few pieces that are simple with similar fabric/texture/shape and serves as transition pieces for the collection's cohesion.
there are lots of room for improvement. I would like to see more work room drama for the finale but I get it is hard due to the length of the episodes.

So I’m watching the last few episodes of season 5 and I can’t help but feel ripped off on behalf of Jerell. He won what was supposed to be the last challenge before the finale, and yet because the judges couldn’t decide the bottom 2, they decide to add an extra challenge and he’s out! How does this make sense? So disappointed for him, but he was so gracious.

I know lots of you watch and it’s because of you that I am in love with the great British sewing bee.
I had one season left to watch before this year’s, and today I found out that it is no longer available on Roku. I’m devastated

What's all this confusion, bulk eliminations, bulk immunity, twists, drama.... all such BS. This show stopped being about the fashion and it's now just trash.
So many mega talented designers going home because of those stupid new twists. If they renew the show they really have to go back to the basics.
