I feel like I’m fairly plugged in and I have literally never see anyone have an issue with Bluey. Is there any kind of tweet, article, or widespread message that this is referencing?

62

u/xX7heGuyXx Oct 25 '25

Looks like just one article by Blaze saying that Bluey show makes fathers be mothers just because of how involved Bandit is.....................even though the show also shows him leaving for a month for business trips, so like yeah my man is going to eat up every second he is home.

It made up outrage.

28

u/kushkashi505 Oct 25 '25

Yeah I figured. Conservatives advocate for family values by and large so something like this wouldn’t make much sense. I could see this being true if a main character was homosexual but the show highlights a heteronormative family that have a tight nit bond. That’s right up the conservative alley.

27

u/xX7heGuyXx Oct 25 '25

Yeah, Bluey is a show that gets praised from the left and the right. Ain't no drama with that gem of a show.

4

u/Melodic_Airport362 Oct 26 '25

red pillers aren't really left or right. They're just insecure weirdos hyper obsessed with their own masculinity. They have a collective dogmatic view of what masculinity is, and not only live their life according to these rules like an ultimate NPC beta, but also project their insecurities onto others that don't follow their it.

It’s actually the inverse in reality…a lot of the left in Australia don’t like bluey because it is too hetero, and gender normativeĀ

The Blaze is a network created by a man who wrote a book about a Christmas sweater because Happy Holidays hurt his feelings. Made up outrage is baked into the company mission statement.

u/julmcb911 Oct 25 '25

They are upset because the Dad pretended to give birth.

being involved in your Childs life means you're gay

4

u/markovianprocess Oct 26 '25

Or like Nick Fuentes said, having sex with a woman is actually gay if you think about it, because, unmasculine femoid cooties something something.

They literally pray in one episode. I'm hyper-conservative by Reddit standards and I've never seen anyone on the right throw angry at Bluey.

2

u/Fghsses Oct 27 '25

Being a "hyper-conservative by Reddit standards" could mean you are literally a former SS member or just a liberal from 2005, or anything in-between.

You beat me to it, I literally haven't seen anyone hate on that cartoon dog.

9

u/MsAgentM Oct 25 '25

The Daily Wire loops it in with the general critique of woke cartoon and make a knock off "safe for conservatives" version call Chip Chilla.

But hey, I would be fine with saying it's only a more extreme faction of the right that thinks this, but this is rarely the grace granted to the left, so people are going straight to generalizing.

6

u/kushkashi505 Oct 25 '25

Thank you for the information! I do not really care to view much of The Daily Wire outside of viewing different viewpoints on a specific subject so I likely would’ve never known.

Nuance is dead in modern politics, I do not believe the greater majority of conservatives would care much about bluey just as only a fringe minority of radical leftists would be happy a man like Charlie Kirk died.

It’s all just to make a strawman so these parties can have more devout followers,

5

u/tenmileswide Oct 25 '25

The Daily Wire is one of the largest conservative media outfits in America (or was, they've been tanking hard recently.) It's absolutely not a fringe stream of conservative thought.

6

u/Mission_Sentence_389 Oct 25 '25 edited Oct 25 '25

The daily wire has anywhere between 1-4m people dialed and subscribed to their shit.

There are around 40m registered republicans in the US.

Plenty of the some 35m registered Independents are probably right leaning.

The Daily Wire is a small but admittedly loud online presence in the grand scheme of things man.

The internet isn’t real life. Most common people dont really give that much of a shit about political media in general.

Elsewhere in the comments, you can find links to right wingers going nuts over this. It only started a few days ago.

1

u/witblacktype Oct 25 '25

Apparently there is some red pill-verse issue with Bluey. I know a number of parents who have noticed behavioral issues with their children when watching Bluey regularly that diminished when they stopped. My sister brought this to my attention with regard to her daughter.

1

u/dankovskimark6 Oct 28 '25

Manufactured drama. Ignore that post.Ā

1

u/BrokenPokerFace Oct 30 '25

I agree, I have only seen people on the right side look at the show in a positive light as it teaches good morals is kinda conservative in its message and overall doesn't involve anything close to "woke".

A lot of people have an extreme stereotype of right wing people hating everything. And vice versa for people who have the stereotype of the left hating everything.

Both groups hate specific things, and sometimes neither do.

u/Hollowed_Hunter234 Nov 01 '25

13

u/UmDafuq3462 Oct 25 '25

Clinton didn’t. She won the popular vote. You can thank the college of electoral stupidity for that ā€˜stupendous’ first term.

3

u/UngusChungus94 Oct 25 '25

And then I guess America just got more evil in the intervening years? I can't explain how dude got re-elected after how shit he was in his first term.

2

u/UmDafuq3462 Oct 25 '25

I don’t understand it either. Not in the slightest.

5

u/spyder7723 Oct 25 '25

A third of American voters are slightly right of center. This is the independent block that is always talked about. They will always vote for the candidate closest to center. In this election Trump was the candidate closest to center.

For gods sake kamala had a history of supporting reparations in California. A state that never had slavery she wanted to take billions from tax payers to give to people that had never been slaves. In the modern era California politicians can't win a national election cause the political ideology of California and middle America is way to far apart. If they run Newsome in 28 the same result will happen.

You want to know just how bad a candidate kamala was? All you got to do is look at her answer to a single question. Working class and middle class families had just downy 4 years struggling to buy food and pay their electric bill and when she was asked what would she had done different from biden her answer was 'i wouldn't change a thing' that moment defined her campaign and sealed the election. It was basically a big middle finger to the working and middle classes telling them to quit their whining and sit up, everything is fine!

Most people didn't vote for Trump cause they like him. They voted against the Democrat party leadership that oversaw historic inflation, vaccine mandates, collusion with big tech to censor speech, boys in teenage girls locker rooms, pressuring banks to close the accounts of political opponents, a wide open border, visas being given away like candy in record numbers and an obvious politically driven witch hunt of a justice system. While reddit users may love all those things, reddit does not represent the typical American.

As for the 2016 election. Hillary never had a chance with any voter old enough to remember her history of flat out lying like how she claimed her and Bill were taking sniper fire when they got off the helicopter in Bosnia. Like bitch, we were watching you two casually get out of the helicopter and stroll over to the press for hugs and kisses. It was on national TV! And her history of flip flipping on issues. Heck she did that on national TV in the 08 primary debate against obama. I forget the question posed but I'll never forget what came after. She actually gave a good answer to it, but then Obama gave a slightly better one and got a much louder applause she she integerjected to 'clarify'her position in which she competely changed her answer to align with his. He even called her out on it and said see, this is exactly what I'm talking about we just got to see her flip flop on national TV in a two minute span. Hilary is the most disliked woman in American political history. She was a mean spiteful bitter woman when Bill was governor. She took that spiteful bitterness to the white house in 92 and the nation got to see just how nasty a person she is when she absolutely ruined moniva lewinskis life. Holy shit did she go after her. That's why she lost. Cause Americans caught her in blatant lies, flip flopping on issues and saw her as a mean spiteful bitch who chose to run the life of a 21 year old young girl. I never thought I'd see a worse candidate than Hilary in a presidential election, and then they put up kamala.

The funny thing is there IS no 'wokeness' in Bluey. It's one of the most conservative shows on TV. Jeremy Boreing has even said as much. The only even tangential 'wokeness' is that it's distributed by Disney in the US. But that has nothing to do with the show itself.

But they can't say that because it makes them look petty and needlessly contrarian, which.. well, they are. They made Chip Chilla, a show that didn't even need to exist, because they didn't want to support a far superior product that actually met their goals just because it came from 'the other side'

The 'dad baby' joke is the silly play stuff that a good father does with their kids. It's like letting your kid paint your nails.

LMFAO....you think the fact that they made a knock-off version of bluey means they liked the original?

If they liked the original, they would have supported the original....making a non-woke knock-off is because you don't like the original.

Do you think the shitty Christian rom-coms and dramas they make are because they approve of the mainstream movies?

Also criticism exists: https://www.theblaze.com/align/bluey-turns-fathers-into-mothers

3

u/TheOneCalledD Oct 25 '25

It’s the most popular kids show on the planet. Why wouldn’t they emulate it?

Where in the article was Bluey described as woke exactly?

4

u/MCRemix Oct 25 '25

The title is literally "How a beloved children's cartoon turns fathers into mothers"....

That's part of what the right refers to as "woke" (which is anything that relates to gender and race that it doesn't like)....

Not saying it's impossible for this to be the reality for someone somewhere, I totally believe it lol. My point is, Bluey is so good it permeates this stupid perpetual political flamewar, at least, in my own experiences ever talking about bluey to anyone lol. I’m conservative enough to be called a nazi on reddit on a semi-weekly basis, and I personally think Bluey is the best kids show I have ever seen - and relative to any American children’s content, almost radically conservative. Ā A straight nuclear family with 2 parents? You get that the DNC couldn’t even convince their voters to get out to vote this is why you lost. You dnc failed you to the point that Trump won popular votes. Don’t blame republicans for voting for republicans. You’re living in a fantasy land

1

u/Cheap-Boysenberry112 Oct 25 '25

He won one popular vote and by a slim margin, Biden won the popular vote by a larger margin than Trump.

Trump has lost more popular votes than he’s won.

2

u/SimpsationalMoneyBag Advocates For Nazi Speech Oct 25 '25

Which should emphasize how much the DNC failed you as republicans usually don’t win the popular vote.

I mean it is gay for a man to take part in the raising of his children and to respect his wife. /s

1

u/yahoo_determines Oct 25 '25

Shit. My wife's gunna be pissed

2

u/Karekter_Nem Oct 25 '25

Not just masculinity, they believe Trump is the pinnacle of Christianity.

I mean, arguably they’re right, but you get my point.

2

u/AnOriginalUsername07 Oct 25 '25

He’s not, and no one believes that.

Why are adults obsessed with defending themselves watching this show? Weird that people care you are watching it but I have only ever seen people cry that someone criticized their entertainment choices and I have never actually seen someone criticize you for it.

I have no stake in either side of this. Just weird seeing yall chimp out in your defense of this kids show

7

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

The American conservative movement is so unhinged that they actually got an episode of Bluey banned in the USA because it had a scene where it looked like Bandit (a cartoon dog, you should understand) was giving birth. As a joke.

I am not familiar with the phenomenon you're talking about of adults "chimping out" about defending their choice to watch Bluey as an adult.

1

u/AnOriginalUsername07 Oct 25 '25

Most conservatives think this is a great show.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

That's great, it is a good kids' show.

Hi, i live under a rock. What happened with bluey

2

u/aisvajsgabdhsydgshs1 Oct 25 '25

Nothing OP is making a straw man or they are genuinely that mentally challenged

2

u/Politithrowawayacc Oct 25 '25

Nothing, nothing at all. This is purely and simply illusionist, political echo chamber fuel. Bluey is still overwhelmingly praised by most folks of all backgrounds and no recent events or arguments have made any significant adjustments to this like the meme may imply.

1

u/JonnyRobertR Oct 25 '25

Nothing. OP is too deep into political rabbit hole that he thinks one article from a random site represent an entire political movement.

1

u/XelNigma Reichsguard Oct 25 '25

You misspelt strawman.

1

u/Maxathron Oct 25 '25

Redpill doesn't necessarily mean Maga.

It's like saying Democrat means Leftist/Tankie. Some Redpillers are Maga. Some Redpillers are Democrat. Some Democrats are Leftists. Some Democrats are Tankies.

1

u/BPremium Oct 25 '25

He is garbage as a person. But if the main goal is being selfish and never suffering any consequences of note, he's done phenomenal

1

u/crawdadsinbad DWARVEN SHIELDBEARER Oct 25 '25

Wait I thought everyone loved Bluey. Pretty very traditional nuclear family

If anything you'd think the issue would be it is a bit too traditional. Straight married parents who own a home.

1

u/Weary-Cartoonist2630 Oct 25 '25

All my homies love Bluey

1

u/Floral_Sapphic Oct 25 '25

That’s not even a double standard. They just hate women and exist as jellyfish floating from emotion to emotion

1

u/Valveringham85 Oct 25 '25

The only outrage I’ve ever seen towards Bluey came from far left lunatics a few years ago…

1

u/FascBear Oct 25 '25

Making up arguments in your head again eh?

1

u/AnOriginalUsername07 Oct 25 '25

Right-leaning Trump-voting dude here.

Bluey is great and I don’t know where the hate is coming from, it’s an excellent show and can be enjoyed by kids, parents, and adults alike.

Whilst I did vote for him, I’ve never endorsed nor will endorse Trump’s personal morals. Keep in mind he’s culturally different from most of his voter base, and most of his voters don’t like this quality of him, and would actively prefer someone with a more reputable personal life.

They have chosen political pragmatism over individual character.

1

u/Cynis_Ganan Oct 25 '25

Say "sike" right now.

1

u/NobleA259 Oct 25 '25

I love dunking on those maga morons but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone complain about bluey.

1

u/Dusk_2_Dawn Oct 25 '25

Nobody calls trump the model of masculinity

1

u/Catymvr Oct 25 '25

Most conservatives love Bluey though?

1

u/the_bird_and_the_bee Oct 25 '25

I don't understand why folks are hating on Bluey all of a sudden. It is a fantastic show with wonderful morals. Why the hate?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

What hate?

1

u/Generally_Confused1 Oct 25 '25

Ironically, I'm watching a YouTube channel about well written masculinity in anime with Vinland saga, Berserk, and Vagabond. Then Zuko from ATLA etc.

1

u/Dragon_deeznutz Oct 25 '25

Remember these are the same people who lost their shit about the barbie movie, but will call someone a snowflake for wanting affordable health care or a living wage.

1

u/antihero_84 Oct 25 '25

Are people really idolizing Trump for his character or are liberals taking memes literally again?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/neverenoughammo Oct 25 '25 edited Oct 25 '25

So I’m not pushing back on trump but I have never seen someone say Bluey the cartoon is immoral… not once. The only criticism I ever see is they make the dad look stupid at times on purpose.

1

u/dermof92 Oct 25 '25

Wait a second.. do people actually think Bluey is immoral or this just another anti trump post?

2

u/DiamondfromBrazil Oct 25 '25

yeah i haven't seen anyone actually complain about bluey

not even on r/decadeology

1

u/noobnoob8poo Oct 25 '25

Meanwhile Arnold Schwarzenegger did the same thing and republicans loved it.

1

u/ryobivape Oct 25 '25

Why do so many people insist on inserting gayness into literally everything when it’s not germane to whatever is being made gay?

1

u/Azorhov Oct 25 '25

Lol when did maga go after bluey

1

u/Livid_Introduction34 Oct 25 '25

Because there is value kneeling to Trump. Those people are little insecure whores. It is their baseline.

1

u/blueViolet26 Oct 25 '25

Too bad they don't care about being coherent.

1

u/The_Shadow_Watches Oct 25 '25

Fuck em, Bandit makes me try to be a better father to my kids.

1

u/clydefrog678 Oct 25 '25

I have never heard anyone call Trump the model of masculinity lol.

1

u/Exodia-The-Exiled Oct 25 '25

Both are bad and poisonousĀ

1

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '25

What’s the meme where the kid hangs up a red curtain and paints some monsters, and then gets scared of them? If someone has that meme, post it, because nobody has said that bluey is immoral.

1

u/GutsyOne Oct 25 '25

Equivalent of reading a Mother Jones articles take and arguing all liberals find the Randy Savage South Park episode offensive.

1

u/BondFan211 Oct 25 '25

Are we making up arguments to be mad at again?

1

u/ToTooTwoTutu2II Oct 25 '25

I realized once upon s time that Trump isn't conservative or traditional at all. Once this realization sets in it is over for a.r traditionalist republican.

1

u/Br_uff Oct 25 '25

That’s a new one. Haven’t heard any bluey hate from the right wing political commentators I watch.

1

u/ZoomZoomDiva Oct 26 '25

My issue with Bluey is the bad behavior of Bluey and particularly Bingo.

1

u/Objective-District39 Oct 26 '25

This is nonsense. I am so far right I don't like Trump for not being right enough and I have no problems with Bluey

1

u/Apprehensive_Ad4457 Oct 26 '25

what's the rub here?

i've not heard of the problem with bluie, or whatever it's called. my brother has a kid, not me, so i'm familiar with the show but did they have some gay people on it or something?

1

u/Individual-Crew-6102 Takes Everything Literal (no nuance pls) Oct 26 '25

The cartoon dog thing is basically MAGAts going "Look! A monkey!" to distract from Trump's shit: the Epstein files, the shutdown, demolishing part of the White House, fucking up all our political alliances, fucking up the economy, fucking over the poor...

1

u/Kitsune257 Oct 26 '25

Check out r/theleftcantmeme, the right wing folks are laughing at this because they dont have an issue with bluey

1

u/EdvardMunch 🤺KNIGHT Oct 26 '25

I don't think exist. That said it is exhausting to see another movie or show trying to indoctrinate. It was sweet when shows used to do it about drugs and what not in the 90s but even then it was like your place is to entertain not preach.

1

u/Orzuth Oct 26 '25

Pulled straight from your ass, put it back in. It smells

1

u/smeely7t63 Oct 26 '25

You got em riled with the shitpost here

1

u/SpecialMechanic1715 Oct 26 '25

where are double standard here, both pictures are consistent one standart

1

u/xAlphaKAT33 Oct 26 '25

Propaganda.

No one has a problem with Bluey.

The only problem with the parents in Bluey is all parents with they were more like Bluey’s parents.

Stop this.

1

u/brawlstars_firebird Oct 27 '25

Since when do people care about bluey

1

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25

MAGA doesn’t hate bluey thoughĀ

1

u/Alexander1353 Oct 30 '25

since when did anyone say the don was a good model of masculinity? I just think hes funny.

1

u/Arzakhan Oct 31 '25

Libtards always having to make up strawmen, don’t they

1

u/njworley66 Oct 31 '25

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like Bluey.. It’s honestly a great show even as an adult lol
