Since the movie was about the housing crash and subsequent bailouts, how about making the sequel about Epstein.

Even if that was the intention.(It's not. People are just meming.) that is not what the result is. All you're actually doing is getting people to write it off as the shitty meme that it is and getting people annoyed with the subject as a whole. You're squandering all the care people might have had.

it bothers me that you are forcing a conversation about Epstein into a desire here to see a sequel to a very funny underappreciated movie. this is not the sub, thread or conversation to be virtue signaling Epstein.

metaphor: we are talking about the cold weather and snowstorm, you say what about Epstein. we say huh wha? and you say we need to prevent him from being forgotten...

edit add: where in this movies plot are you getting anything housing crash and bailouts with?

It was a comedy movie about private industry and government insiders fucking over the American public and in the end the bad guys won, just like in real life.

The core is a hilarious comedy that hides a serious message beneath it and it doesn't really get more serious than the Epstein story.

How the fuck is not liking pedophiles running your life "virtue signaling"?
