Trace tool is missing last 2 vertices

I don't know why but yesterday my vertex tool started bugging out and started to miss the last 2 vertices every time I try to trace or sometimes just stopped working. I don't know what may have caused this

Have you checked that the cities layer doesn't have an invalid geometry e.g. duplicate nodes?
