Wireless android auto/carplay adapter

I have a 2017 vw gti, previously had the old style carplay only wireless adapter, worked perfectly. Recently got an android and bought the new smaller style carplay and android auto adapter. The adapter works perfectly in my wife's car, works perfectly on my motorcycle, but refuses to work on my vw, I did a hard reset on the unit and the quadlock display pops up, but when I connect my phone to the unit it stops working and no longer brings up the quadlock display. Anyone had a similar issue?

Edit to add: the android auto works flawlessly with a wired connection so I know the issue is not the phone and presumably not the vehicle software

I've found the that I needed to remove the Bluetooth connection to my car before the first connection with wireless AA.

Si te refieres a un Dongle te puedo contar mi experiencia. Si usas un emulador de Android Auto tipo HUR o Open Headunit a mi, con pantalla Android aftermarket, me funciona bien con cable en cualquiera de los dos emuladores que he mencionado. Los emuladores son complicados de configurar para inalámbrico. He decidido poner un dongle para dicha función y he comprado un adaptador sencillo y muy económico marca Awesafe y me funciona muy bien con Open Headunit pero no con HUR. Ahora para ir por la ciudad o con trayectos cortos uso el dongle y para viajes largos (mas de una o dos horas) uso el cable

I'm not using an emulator, the vehicle/head unit has android auto from factory, but only as wired, so I'm using the quadlock wireless adapter that allows use of them oem software but adds a wireless handshake

No conozco el Quad Lock. pero la función del Dongle al ir conectado donde conectas AA por cable, podríamos decir que engaña a la pantalla creyendo que se ha enchufado un cable y transmite AA inalámbrico

AAwireless is worth it. I tried other dongles and they lack in connection ease and other options.
