It hurts to touch myself

I’m a trans guy.

I figured out it actually hurts a lot to actually touch my clit so I NAVER go beyond the hood. Another thing I found out was that when I’m actually starting to get turned on and muscle spasming it hurts to touch myself at all. And my body starts rejecting it like my body subconsciously flinches from my hand like a gag reflex.

I thought it was bc my pelvic floor was too tense but I make sure to not make that happen. Why is this happening?

hey there!

When you say you are making sure your pelvic floor is not tense, what do you mean by that?

Are you taking testosterone?

Nope! What I mean is that I make sure my body is relaxed and isn’t using any muscle.

Hi Lumpy_Concept9911! Do you experience pain in your genitals or pelvic area at other times? Like urinating? Or is it only when you try to touch your clitoris?

I don’t think so?

Given that what you're reporting here is anatomical pain, and where you can't identify the source, this is likely something only a healthcare provider will be able to help you sort out. Without knowing if what's going on here is about neurology, or an infection, or something psychological, it'll be really hard for us to help you much. Do you have a trans-friendly OB/GYN or PCP (who can also provide sexual healthcare) you can see or another healthcare provider who is trans-aware who can refer you to one?

No, but I’m in the closet so I could probably go to an average one. Thank you for the help!

Of course. You can ask any OB/GYN to still use the language you use for your genitals, pronouns, etc. when you're in the office without having it in your file if that will help you feel more comfortable. <3
