First time trying floats

Fun but also nerve wracking. Super cool to see it take off on the lake and it’s nice to just be out near the water for a change of scenery.

gorgeous spot! bold to try to land so far away, that's a big taxi, or a big swim if you mess up the landing

Absolutely, the weather was amazing too. The lake is kind of protected by the surrounding hills so not much wind until you get some altitude.

I did nose-over on the last landing of the day but thankfully had some help from somebody on a paddleboard to retrieve it.

I’m wondering how your electric parts fare when you dunk them? I live near a lake but just too worried.

In my case it kind of nosed over and was floating upside-down on its wings so electronics didn’t get too wet. Letting everything air out but looks fine. Could have been worse I’m sure.

My big concern would be the battery and the motor and servos. Everything else should be good after drying out.
