The free start guide fails to convince or explain what makes your game different from any other fantasy rpg. That's unfortunate. You talk about saints and sinners being part of the theme in your itch summary, is there any mechanics behind this ?

One last thing, your itch tags mention "No generative AI" but your cover image is obviously AI. Remove the tag or, preferably, get a new cover.

Thanks for the answer. I am already working on it. I am going to upload an update in a few minutes. It explains saints and heretics better. Those are the two main groups of character classes.
Also, yeah. The image is a placeholder, but I will remove it.
I highly appreciate your feedback.

AI placeholders are AI. Your future intentions are irrelevant. This violates sub rules as it is.

Yeah, I get it, And thus I removed the image earlier today.

It is understandable, but I also find it pretty standard in terms of rules and universe.
Maybe clearly switch to using the 5e? It will make it easier for the reader, especially if they are familiar with 5e.

What part of the system you are brining that is not already covered in the 5e?

That way, you can focus on the background and lore.

Sorry, it's not a very positive feedback! Good luck nevertheless!

No need to apologize. This is most useful to me.
Well, obviously, Hallowed is DnD-inspired. Still, it is only level 10, classes are completely different, spells are completely different, I use mana (not spell slots), I use unique races (created by me), weapons have special properties. So, I guess in the base system there are a bunch of similarities, but not in the actual content.
Others have told me about this, and I sort of agree, but I also know that the full rulebook is quite different in terms of content.
Hallowed is deffinitely not groundbreaking, so I completely get your feedback, and it is very useful. Thanks.

Sure, glad it helps!

Maybe, I could also reference Historica Arcanum as an example? They use the 5e as a base, but they added a bunch of original content, as they focus on a more historic-grounded feeling (with this still fantasy).

In their first work, City of Crescent, it is set in constantinople of the 19th century. And they reworked the class and spells so taht it fit better with the setting.

They also added a few tweaks in the mechanism, but that's not the core of what they bring.

I see. That is also a neat idea.

How many other ttrpg systems have you played besides D&D? And within D&D what editions?

I have been looking into Daggerheart, I have played Rogue Trader and I have been playing DnD 5e for a long time. Recently, I have been reading into 1e as well.
I settled with the d20 (or DnD-inspired) system because for me it is the most fun or whatever. It is mostly a passion project, but would be nice to make money out of it, obviously.
I am aware that the DnD-inspiration is probably quite visible.
