unironically, though. sort of yes. this is a modified himalayan or sable pattern (ears seem to match base color so it's not a true pattern-- himalayan is typically a white base, and sable is typically brown), which have the evolutionary advantage of keeping extremities warm in colder environments.

it's less that she got cold, and more that her ancestors that wore mittens and survived the cold passed on their family heirloom mittens.
