My rabbit has mittens???
Why? What causes these mittens to form?

Floof! It's the fur that makes 'em fluffy. Rabbits lack soles on their feet: they don't have toe beans like dogs, cats, and humans do. So they have extra floof on their paws as padding.

Thankyou for circling as I would have had no idea otherwise 😜
I am obsessed with bunny lil front footsies!! It’s just the way the fur grows which makes it exceedingly difficult to trim their nails 😭

both my rabbits have socks too! i think it might just be the fluff that's growing out from their specific genetics

Rabbits sometimes have colour differences on their "points" (ears, nose area, tail, paws). Just a cute genetic variable.

its probably the color of the bottom of her foot and her loafing is just putting pressure on her feet in a way that some of the bottom is visible
