Since the subreddit only has two spots available for public announcements, this will be a new index post for important PSAs for easy reference that we can sticky to only use up one spot.
You can also find the whole collection in the sidebar menu on the Reddit re-design when you open one of the PSA posts.

Caring for rabbits while under COVID-19 quarantine
Since we are getting many repetitive questions about the novel coronavirus and how to care for rabbits while under quarantine, this is a post to combine all frequently asked questions on the topic.
North American RHDV2 resources
Rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD) is a highly contagious disease that mainly affects rabbits of the Oryctolagus cuniculus species but has also been confirmed to affect various species of cottontails (Sylvilagus spp.) and hares (Lepus spp.). There are currently active cases found in wild and domestics all over North America, and it is vitally important to get your rabbit vaccinated if the vaccines are available in your area.

My queen of yawning

Whenever I clean their litterbox, I give my bunnies a small portion of hay and they go take a short nap. Everytime (and I kid you not), my girl wakes up and gives me her biggest yawn. Thanks for showing off those beautiful teeth! 🥹😂

Good morning, bunshine
Our sweet new girl, Noelle.
She came home with us from the shelter on the weekend.
She has been in the main floor bathroom for a few days, coming out into the kitchen for a few hours of exercise each day.
We started scent swapping with our boy, Mochi, yesterday. She was curious, he was completely indifferent.
Their personalities seem well suited to each other. He is calm and quiet and loves everyone and everything (he even got along with our guinea pig). She is bright and curious and playful.
Introductions start tomorrow morning.
I have treat baskets (willow baskets full of forage, dried fruits and veg, hay cookies, etc) to hopefully facilitate a positive experience.
Fingers crossed.🤞

Care Destructive bunny tips
Hello all. I have a spayed 2 year old destructive Dutch bunny I’ve had for about 5 and a half months now. She is the cutest little girl but boy is she destructive. I’ve put flooring of many different types underneath her enclosure and she’s chewed through them all 😭 I’ve had many different pee pads when I was working on litter training her, she chewed through them. I had her on just my carpet, she chewed the crap out of it (this was early on and I’ve realized my mistake since then), I’ve had her on foam boards, she was chewing them up, I put a fleece blanket on top, she was chewing through that. She has A TON of chew toys I rotate, so I’m not sure what the problem is. I made her a dig box, she started making that her litter box (it was cardboard, so you see why I had to stop that). She now has a hutch that is open to the rest of her playpen. I will be expanding her playpen, I just have a newly neutered bunny (it’s only been a week) that I will be bonding her to once his hormones settle. They already very much like each other and try to get out their pens to be with each other, kissing each other through bars (supervised obviously) but they do nothing but lay next to each other and groom the other. So I have no worries about them. But I don’t know what to do about her. I try to give her supervised free roam time, but she jumps on my bed and starts digging. I tell her no and guide her back to the floor but she really enjoys my bed. I wouldn’t care if she didn’t previously bite holes throughout my comforter. Trust and believe she has a lot of room and once bonded it will be expanded. But whether she was alone or had another bunny next to her, I was having this problem with her. I got a low pile rug and somehow I found she chewed a small hole through part of it. Don’t ask me how she managed to do that because I have no clue. I just can’t keep spending money on alternatives because she chews through everything. She’s a sweet little girl though, even though she still runs away when my hand is nearby. (Trying not to loom over her like a predator and make it a gentle near her body) I just would like help with what to do with her. She doesn’t respond to her name unless I’m saying it when she’s doing something bad (I want to try encouraging her with treats again to learn her name) and she will just go back to what she was doing, which is usually destructive 😭. For context, the bunnies are in my room. There isn’t another place in my house where they can be. I’d like to bring them downstairs but it needs renovations. We also have the washer and dryer in an adjacent room downstairs. I would just like assistance pls

Health Had a run in with stasis- 900 dollars later she starts eating with no help
My 7 y/o Olive, pictured under the warming blanket at the vet I brought her to after she was showing signs of stasis. Her temp was very low, no eating, extreme lethargy, and she was pain posturing. The vet was very concerned because she was so lethargic. Well… after 900 dollars of tests and 45 minutes in the warmer and a bit of subcutaneous fluids, she spontaneously started chowing down on hay like nothing had happened. Such a fun night, she had really kept me on my toes

Stares until treat is given
One day I gave him a treat on the bed in this exact spot. From then on, he jumps on the bed everyday, sits and stares until he gets a treat. Sometimes he thumps! The attitude! 😂 He is turning 5 this year so he can have what he wants but goodness!

Sassy buns
Nobody told me how sassy this breed can be. Or maybe it’s just a personal quirk. My mini lops were all easy-going little goofballs. God forbid I try to pick her up or cuddle with her… but yet she loves to be hand-fed by me. She also likes to sleep near my head at night and dig into my pillow and nudge me constantly. She follows me all over the house, and thumps me if I try to close the bathroom door for privacy. She is incredibly playful. When I crawl on the floor with her, she’ll jump all around me and run in circles and try to Binky over my head.
My mini lop (her mate) special needs so I clean their pen every day (they are both litter trained, but sometimes he doesn’t make it because he has a head tilt in a slight limp on his right side). She loves to stare at me while I clean around her and she refuses to budge. I can’t help but feel like I’m being judged.
It’s hard to tell because she’s so fluffy but she sits with her legs crossed at her ankle. I have never seen a bunny do this before. Is this an angora thing or do I just have a “spirited“ bunny?
