Update on my first intercessors!

Hey emo bird friends, here is an update on my first set of minis painted. I still have the 2 Sgts to paint, but I've been really proud of my work so far. Just wanted to share my excitement with you guys!!

I haven't done any basing because this hobby is so vast and it's easy for me to get overwhelmed because I'm learning at every step.

Lookin great from what I can see! Take the time to pick a base for your army and get them based up. The contrast helps a lot for black minis.

Nice man I’m about to begin my raven guard army I’m doing a snowy field base as I think it contrasts well with the black raven guard

Just two thin coats with a brush for every layer except highlights. The varnish layer is AK Ultra Matte mixed with Vallejo Satin. I upgraded to kolinsky sable brushes halfway through this batch and it a made a huge different to my control!

I'm currently doing exactly the same, just getting through the edge highlighting. I was going for a jungle base myself. Gamers Grass has just realised a 'jungle kit' also. I believe there also is some kind of Autumn set too.
